Resweater

Tuesday, June 9, 2015. Due to the lack of sweaters in the area at the moment, a lack of business, and a lack of time, Resweater will be on a brief hiatus for the summer. Thank you for your patience and understanding! For anyone local, I have a bulk amount of sweaters to sell. 200 sweaters for $150. I cannot ship them, so they will need to be picked up in Geneva, Il. I hope to have lots of great sweaters for you at the end of the summer when I return! Have a great summer! Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Pic 1 - so...

Resweater: Sweaters still available from prior Sweater Mondays

http://resweater.blogspot.com/2015/02/sweaters-still-available-from-prior.html

Monday, February 23, 2015. Sweaters still available from prior Sweater Mondays. I figured it would be less complicated to have one post with the sweaters still available from previous Sweater Monday posts, than leaving up old Sweater Monday posts. I will list anything that is left from the prior weeks here, and delete the previous week's post. Pic 43 - some big patterned blends, $8 each (brown/navy boucle 80% wool/20% nylon, purple/black 70% wool/30% acrylic. Brown/black 79% wool/14% acrylic/7% nylon).

http://resweater.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 16, 2014. It's What I've Been Working on Wednesday - lightweight quilt. I had a few hours of unscheduled time on Saturday, and looked around my house to see what I could get done, got overwhelmed, and started a sewing project instead ;). I did end up getting a lot of housework done eventually, but first I played with my wool :). This quilt will be a work in progress for a while, so i'll keep you all updated! Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Make a super cute n easy sheep pillow! I didn't have any ...

Resweater: October 2013

http://resweater.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Make a recycled wool bow in under 5 minutes! This is such a versatile and easy project. These take me under 5 minutes to make, but look so nice! Ready to learn how to make these yourself? First you cut your pieces of felted wool. You can tweak this to get different sizes, but for this tutorial I used 7" x 2 1/2" for the main piece, and 1 1/2" x 1/2" for the small piece. Leave the needle/thread attached, and move the sewn seam to the center. Now flip it over and voila! Just sew ...

Resweater: Mmwolters, flower pins & purses

http://resweater.blogspot.com/2010/01/mmwolters-flower-pins-purses.html

Sunday, January 24, 2010. Mmwolters, flower pins and purses. I decided to look on Ebay to see if there were any crafters/artisans that sold their recycled wool goodies there, and found mmwolters. Not only does she sell on Ebay. But she has an Etsy shop. Under the same name as well. She sells cute purses, beautiful flower brooches, and pretty pincushions. Those cheerful flowers remind me of spring, so I was happy to find them :) I was unable to copy any pictures of the lovely things she has on Ebay.

Resweater: Tutorial Tuesday - super easy slippers!

http://resweater.blogspot.com/2010/02/tutorial-tuesday-super-easy-slippers.html

Tuesday, February 9, 2010. Tutorial Tuesday - super easy slippers! You know those sweaters that felted just a bit more than what you wanted for your project? This is the perfect project for them! I got this tutorial from the Martha Stewart website. And it's a good thing! These are super easy, and take a short time to make. Here's the original tutorial, with my slippers below it:. 1 Use our templates. I made 2 pairs. I would have made many more, but I ran out of thread in colors that match what I have...

The Small House Family: One Bathroom Life

http://www.thesmallhousefamily.com/2016/05/one-bathroom-life.html

The Small House Family. A homeschooling family of six making it work in 900 square feet. The Small House Store. Wednesday, May 4, 2016. Doesn't two bathrooms seem like a total luxury? It really is. Because I don't know about you, but my family doesn't actually spend much time in the bathroom. So price/square foot really does make two a luxury. I once got a quote for adding a bathroom onto my house and it was $30,000. So that two people could pee at the same time. Still think it's not a luxury?

My thrifty adventures with yarn, fabric, and thread. Newer posts →. A Belated Happy Easter to All! March 28, 2016. I just received a concerned e-mail from one of my readers, which made me realize that. Have slipped by since my last post. First off, I want you all to know that DH and I are both. It’s simply that blogging keeps getting pushed aside by other things. Guess it’s pretty obvious that volunteering at the nursing home has become Priority #1. For some reason going. A week seems to take at least.

The Sweater Project: Bee Eyes & Mouth!: Day 158

http://thesweaterproject.blogspot.com/2011/06/bee-eyes-mouth-day-158.html

Monday, June 27, 2011. Bee Eyes and Mouth! Of The Details Are In :-]. It is so hot here that Honey Bee and I can't think or work very fast today. At least HB has his eyes and mouth this afternoon! Two scraps of sweater and two buttons with blue thread. Make funny, expressive eyes. And orange floss French knots seemed a nice touch for a mouth. Amazing what can be done even just with access to the surface of my already stuffed Bee. (Referring to the cart-before-the-horse comment from last night. Zipper Pou...

Monday, June 20, 2011. Button Storage: Day 152. As you recall, my camera took a day off yesterday. Now we are back on track, Camera and I, so here goes the Catching-Up-For-Lost-Time-Blog.and of course a project for today, too! Sticks & Stitches: Diamond Border Hat

http://sticks-stitches.blogspot.com/2009/01/diamond-border-hat.html

A journey through my adventures in the world of knitting, sewing and other crafting adventures. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. This was one of the two hats I knit for my son. It is almost impossible to get a picture where you actually see the border (at least I haven't succeeded yet). This was a very quick and simple knit although it did require a bit of math and attention for the border. This was knit with Peaches and Creme yarn on size 8 circular needles, switching to DPN's as needed. Row 7: Repeat row 5.

http://sticks-stitches.blogspot.com/2010/07/tuesdays-tut_27.html

A journey through my adventures in the world of knitting, sewing and other crafting adventures. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. So I am sure everyone has seen these in the stores selling for the astronomical price of $5.99! Really there is no way it's worth 6 bucks but apparently people buy them. Well it is so easy to make one and takes less that an hour. Of time and 4 inches. Now I have seen a couple tutorials on these however I wanted to make one that was adjustable. Plastic ring (small 1/2 inch). Your medium ...

So this was the project that just kept going, and going, and going. It should have been simple and quick but ended up being drawn out over almost a week. Turned out the third time was the charm! On a side note...

On a side note. On a side note. I already have a recycled wool blog (www.resweater.blogspot.com), but sometimes I want to say something completely unrelated to recycled wool, so voila. on a side note is born! You know when you have everything finished and want something to do? I don't, i'm a mom, lol! It's more like, I need a moment to myself sometimes to ignore the laundry, dishes, weeds in the garden, and other fun stuff ;). What will you find on this blog? Salad in a jar.
