Rethinking Literacy: One Step at a Time...

http://rethinkingliteracy.blogspot.com/2009/12/one-step-at-time.html

One Step at a Time. Allowing students to use technology at school the way they LIVE. It their lives outside of school. In the meantime teachers, relax! Give yourselves a break and afford yourselves some time to become comfortable. I promise, you won't see this stuff popping up in curriculum documents or in board mandates. Play a bit and see for yourselves. The possibilities are endless. Posted by Christine Cosentino. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Kelly The Kitten Virtual Pet. And the Rat Laughed.

In the meantime, I thought this was a great overview of what STL is all about. Theories of Teaching and Learning: The Staged Self-Directed Learning Model, G.Grow. Facet 6: ...

Rethinking Literacy: It's a Done Deal

http://rethinkingliteracy.blogspot.com/2010/04/its-done-deal.html

It's a Done Deal. It's official. I've decided to go back to the classroom after two years in my role as a Program Resource Teacher. I figure a couple of things:. 1 It'll get me back to working with kids - which I love above all things. 2 This decision will prevent me from becoming increasingly cynical about the prospects for change. I have met and worked with so many great teachers who are doing really fantastic work and I want to be an active part of affecting real change. Posted by Christine Cosentino.

Rethinking Literacy: Student Directed Learning Notes

http://rethinkingliteracy.blogspot.com/2010/01/student-directed-learning-notes.html

Student Directed Learning Notes. This posting excites me for two reasons:. 1 I finally learned how to upload a document that wasn't a power point using Slideshare, and. 2 It's some of the work I've been doing around student-directed learning. I really can't wait to get back into the classroom. Student Directed Learning Notes. Posted by Christine Cosentino. Labels: 21st century learning. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
