Leviticus 19 goes over the LORD’s various laws, and Leviticus 20 goes over their punishments. It is reiterated that LORD tells the Israelites “do not steal, do not lie, do not deceive one another,” etc. Leviticus 21 contains rules for the priests. Constantly reworking and editing the raw ideas spewing forth from my mind. February 23rd, Leviticus 22-23: More rules for the priests and feasts. February 23rd, Leviticus 22-23: More rules for the priests and feasts. April 16, 2011. Leviticus 22 tells of more of the rules for the priests. Leviticus 23 details the LORD’s appointed feasts. So we know the LORD’s Passover begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month, and on the fifteenth day the Feast of Unleavened Bread begins. Eating Off The...

Titus2:3-5: Musings of a Working Mom
http://titus2345.blogspot.com/2011/09/musings-of-working-mom.html
Monday, September 19, 2011. Musings of a Working Mom. Sitting in front of a computer for five hours each day brings with it an inexplicable sense of exhaustion. Not only is it difficult to cook supper after working, it's next to impossible to decide what supper should be! Children really do thrive when given responsibilities, and will usually rise to meet your expectations. When your work is all at the computer, you lack any desire to sit in front of the computer at home. Through a series of God-ordained...

Titus2:3-5: Motherhood as Ministry
http://titus2345.blogspot.com/2010/08/motherhood-as-ministry.html
Tuesday, August 24, 2010. A few of the buzzwords you'll hear in Christian circles these days are Christian service, ministry, servant leader, washing feet. They come from our Model of how to live and serve others - Jesus. We encourage our leaders to not just be the "boss," but to serve joyfully. We challenge our leaders to find ways to (figuratively) wash the feet of those whom they lead. Am I a servant leader to my children, or a dictator? A re-post from the archives. Posted by E. Tyler Rowan. Thanks fo...

Titus2:3-5: Seven Steps to Stop Anger in its Tracks
http://titus2345.blogspot.com/2010/09/seven-steps-to-stop-anger-in-its-tracks.html
Friday, September 3, 2010. Seven Steps to Stop Anger in its Tracks. He brushed the same areas over and over again, missing the same two spots with every back-and-forth of the brush. It was clear to me that this was not really a motor control issue, but more of a pre-teen laziness thing. My jaw clenched just a little bit as my frustration mounted. I grabbed back on to his hand clasping the toothbrush, and we brushed! A muffled, "Ow! To scream at him to, "Shut up and stop whining! Or share that juicy morse...

Titus2:3-5: Protection? Or Presence?
http://titus2345.blogspot.com/2011/09/last-week-i-mentioned-couple-difficult.html
Monday, September 12, 2011. I mentioned a couple difficult situations that my children (and I) are walking through. I've been thinking and praying about those things on behalf of my kids. A lot. God's been answering me, speaking to my heart about life's struggles. What He's been saying surprised me. For example. At first, I heard what I expected to hear from the Lord. But then, God started saying (not out loud, but into my heart) things that took me by surprise. Imagine the great things that a child name...

Titus2:3-5: Counter-Culture Decisions
http://titus2345.blogspot.com/2011/09/counter-culture-decisions.html
Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Courtesty of squidoo.com. In the spring, Pat and I spent some time re-evaluating what our family does and why we do it. We had gotten so very busy - overwhelmingly busy - and needed to figure out how much extra-curricular involvement was really necessary. So we began to ask ourselves what really mattered to us. Building a close connection with a small group from our church. Investing in others in our church and community, through acts of service and good old friendship. Last ...

Titus2:3-5: When God Messes Up Your Plans
http://titus2345.blogspot.com/2010/08/when-god-messes-up-your-plans.html
Monday, August 2, 2010. When God Messes Up Your Plans. I am a planner and a list-maker. I like to know what is ahead, what my next step should be. I do not like it when my plans get messed with! Some people may refer to that tendency as “control issues.”). This weekend, I breezed into a luxurious conference hotel with big plans. As my heeled sandals tapped out their little clickity-clack tune, I ticked items off the checklist. Click – Attend meetings to pitch book proposal. Do I do that? 8211; I crossed ...

Titus2:3-5: Pouring Out
http://titus2345.blogspot.com/2011/09/pouring-out.html
Monday, September 26, 2011. We've all heard it said, "We can't pour out until we're filled up.". It's our way of saying that, unless we're close to God ourselves, we can't really bring His love into the lives of others. Or perhaps it's our excuse to delay sharing His love with the world until we feel perfectly prepared and equipped. Here is a statement that I believe to be more accurate. Until we empty ourselves, pouring out in service of others, there's no room for God to pour into us. What do you think?
