The Nielsens: May 2011
http://thenielsenspot.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 17, 2011. So, I know this is later than a lot of people want, but what can I say.I just had a baby. I was so excited. Dr. walked in as they were cutting the cord, and he joked with me that I don't mess around when I go into labor. I tried to warn him and Eric warned the nurses. She was born at 12:46am on May 14th. I am so glad that I missed the Friday the 13th by 45 minutes. I loved this experience giving birth. Everything was perfect. Posted by Melissa Nielsen. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Nielsens: June 2012
http://thenielsenspot.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 24, 2012. My teeth are singing. I guess we are going to go backwards since I don't know how to use this new blogger format (obviously I haven't posted in a while). Here was our fathers day gift to Eric. A malt ice cream and dark chocolate brownie cake. It was soooo good. And really super easy. Every one loved it. (Port calls it the spunkin whoppin cake, really it just had whoppers on it.). ERIC GRADUATED FROM DENTAL SCHOOL! Adie had a dance recital that she actually danced in. They dance...

The Nielsens: January 2013
http://thenielsenspot.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 21, 2013. Christmas and Porter's Birthday. Adie was a shepherd, Lottie was a sheep, and since Porter was the only boy (older boy I should say, there was a baby boy), he was Joseph. It was a lot of fun. Here are all the kids in their outfits. I wish we had pictures of the girls. Adie just wanted to play with a couple of toys in the princess tent she got from Santa, and Lottie just wanted to look at all of the books that we already had. We also had Porter's birthday party. He has been b...

Friday, May 31, 2013. Spring Time in Oklahoma. This is what was seen just east of us yesterday. We heard the sirens going off and immediately turned on the news. I could see the storm from our back porch. Kind of scary. A little earlier in the day some rotation went over us and I could see it. Kind of crazy. I have never seen such beautiful yet horrifying cloud formation in my life. Because it is a panorama you might have to click on it to see the whole thing). Posted by Melissa Nielsen. The Stevens of Brookshire Manor: September 2011
http://nathanandbritney.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Lord Nathan and Lady Bats are proud to announce the birth of the future King James of Brookshire Manor. Long live the King! Wednesday, 28 September 2011. So much for my "more updates later". It's a busy time for James' parents! Anyway. James is 8.5 months old, large, very mobile, sturdy, handsome, sweet, and cruising (walking whilst holding on to something) along the couches and trying to stand on his own. Ahh! Meanwhile - work for me is busy and school is busy and modeling is busy. Of course. Bu...Lord ...

Gnome-N-Birdy: Bring on the JUNK!
http://gnome-n-birdy.blogspot.com/2010/12/bring-on-junk.html
Monday, December 20, 2010. Bring on the JUNK! I recently stumbled upon the concept of Junk or Junque Journaling. Basic concept: Fill your sketchbook with random "junk", the more the better! The themes for junk journals are endless. Some make collage book about special memories, or things they dream about. For others it's all about total destructions with topics like "Place sticky things here". if you need ideas to keep you going you might be interested in the sketchbook Wreck this Journal. I know youve h...

Creative Re-lease: Final Installment of the Craft tutorial!
http://rialeigh.blogspot.com/2010/08/final-installment-of-craft-tutorial.html
Wednesday, August 11, 2010. Final Installment of the Craft tutorial! Time to finish this sucker up. Let's review, you should have everything cut out, your cover decorated (if you so choose), and the center-most page ready for binding. The middle page is as simple as doing nothing, or stitch around the edges for embellishment and some stabilization. This is the pink page in my pictures. For the front and back cover:. Stack the three pages on top of each other. I know this step sounds silly. but ma...Stick...

Saturday, August 14, 2010. The 10 things that have made parenting easier. This is simply a site dedicated to helping people start groups of people that have similar interests. There are all sorts of groups all over the country. The important thing here is that there are a TON of mom's groups on this site. I have met some of the most wonderful people through my meetup group, Kids at Play! I was given a Maya Wrap. Creepy how much this kid looks like Linus. And I mean STURDY! And I am very happy with it.
