I didn’t realize how long it had been since my last post, until I saw that picture! My babies have grown so much in 2 years. And they’ve multiplied! I decided to restart this lil ole bloggity blog of mine because I have a lot of things going on in my life, and in my millennial generation brain, I think you all should hear about them. If I had written the Bible (and thank GOD, I didn’t! I would have put a short-term mission trip requirement right after baptism. Oh, wait, Jesus kind of already did that when He said, “Go.”. But I digress. It all seems kind of useless. I wonder, what on earth am I doing with my life? Have you ever experienced this?

Guiding Beauty and Building Courage. What I’m Reading. So that led me to the question – what am I pursuing? Am I setting an example of mediocrity, an easy, no-struggle existence? Or as they grow, will they see me go for big goals and big dreams? There’s always that cliche of wanting your children to have more than you did. But am I making that too easy for them to accomplish? If I set the bar of dreams and pursuit of goals too low, what do they have to work for? The party don’t start till I walk in!

As my midwife was pushing me in the wheelchair through the lobby and up the elevator (while still holding my IV bag), there was another woman calmly walking into registration. I tried really hard not to scare her with my labor sounds, but I don’t think I was successful. Sorry lady, I hope your labor was simpler than mine! Well we’re home now and getting into the groove of life as a family of 6! Post Mission Trip Blues.
