Myomer Dreams: 28mm Battletech Stalker- Factory Fresh
http://myomer-dreams.blogspot.com/2014/05/28mm-battletech-stalker-factory-fres.html
Monday, May 12, 2014. 28mm Battletech Stalker- Factory Fresh. While I was out of the state on a mini-vacation with my family this weekend, I was unable to paint the Stalker. I did, however, think I should post one last time to give a few shots of the finished product. I’ve also added some rounded half-round plasticard to the sides of the fuselage and the rear section,. Giving a bit of interesting surface that I can paint maybe with hazard stripes or rank markings. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Mal's workbench: February 2015
http://dropshipserenity.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 6, 2015. So Now to the real work. I have a pretty good idea of the paint scheme I want for Seraphon. But there's something that twitched when I first saw this. I love the look of the 4 eyes and the very dynamic face. I asked "he who shall be unnamed" about how to paint a glowy effect, and his offhand comment prompted that I try something crazy. So, I decided to light the eyes. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Good blogs to follow. Shadow Cat and Private Project. New Urbie in town.

Mal's workbench: April 2015
http://dropshipserenity.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Yep, the bench updates have been quiet. In truth, the bench really has been in more flux over the last 6 months than it’s been in years. As it happens, the workbench was moved about three times over that timeframe, as I searched to both a) find a synergistic construction environment that best suited my needs and b) adapted to the ‘new normal’ that is my external life. With all that said, I do have some updates. Malekith and Seraphon are nearly done. Pipeline Projects A and AFCY.

Mal's workbench: August 2014
http://dropshipserenity.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 20, 2014. Work on Project A continues apace. I am just about to the point where I'm going to call done on the legs. I need to scribe in panel lines and other small details and then pin things together. This brings me to the other question that I should answer at some point: Kit it or just build it for me? Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Project A. With Pixez. So Now with Pix. Keep in mind, this is the "rough, still working on it, etc.etc." stage, so do bear with me. However, that wasn't the...

Myomer Dreams: November 2013
http://myomer-dreams.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 30, 2013. Joyride Studios Madcat- Battletech 28mm. My initial idea was to do the model in a blue-grey urban camo scheme to match my Nighthawk PA(L) Battle Armor, planning to do a Rasalhague Dominion force of mixed Clan and IS technology. However that didn’t pan out, after priming the model straight black I found that Games Workshop’s new Citadel paints are….bad. The consistency is terrible for large models, and after several attempts I gave up. I used a couple warning symbols on the gu...

Mal's workbench: Somewhat productive week.
http://dropshipserenity.blogspot.com/2015/01/somewhat-productive-week.html
Tuesday, January 27, 2015. With that done, it's time to figure out what color transitions I like. I think the one that works best for me is the the black-to-purple-to-bone transition. I like the fade and hint of purple as it goes darker. Of course, that's probably the most complicated of the paintschemes, but hey, would I be "me" if I chose otherwise?
