Being unwell is not something I have much experience with, partly due to (relative) youth and maybe a certain bloodymindedness about struggling on with colds. No days off. It was the first time I have ever (yes, ever) been to a hospital as a consumer, other than when I had an outpatient's appointment for verrucae as a 12 year old. Those went away by themselves. But we are all human and we are all vulnerable.
