Monday, December 19, 2005. I have an interview! The process is now in motion again. I will be interviewing at Hope Lutheran in Summit, SD. A one-point solo call. 270 members, but with about 40 kids in Sunday School. So lots of young families, which is very cool. They even had 3 adult baptisms in the last couple of years! Monday, January 09, 2006. So that was exciting. There was a full church as well, so lots of people came out to vote. Pam and I are very excited. It seems great to be at this place finally. I figured since I just turned 27 it should be time to get out of school and start doing something productive. 21 years of straight school, plus this past Fall of whatever you want to call it. Thursday, September 29, 2005. Received a call from Bishop ADN today welcoming us to the SD Synod. We are excited! Now more waiting until the Synod Call Committee meets in NOVEMBER! Monday, November 14, 2005. I received my first two stoles in mail today. Who knew two pieces of cloth would bring up so much emotion. Each of them was a gift. A gift that symbolizes people's support and belief in me and my calling to ordained ministry. What a blessing! The stoles were hand painted by Chillon Leach. Stole from my parents for Ordination! The north shore is spectacular. whether it is the hawaiian green sea turtle, the surf at sunset beach, or the waves at pipeline, i can see why people visit here. only one hotel on the entire north shore, there is a much different feel then in waikiki where there are about 175 hotels in a 2-mile by 1-mile stretch of reclaimed land.
