The Liberals newly announced plans for a Green Shift. In order to reduce GHG emissions. This Green Shift is a basic Carbon Taxing program, where polluters over a limit pay a tax equal to a percentage of their total income to the government. This money is then used to reduce income tax from the populace. Musicians deserve to be respected, and their music, their work should be protected. We cannot use the Conservative's approach to solve this. Passing Bill C-61 will make millions of Canadians criminals and demand outrageous sums of money from them as compensation. This is ridiculous. This will not help the consumer or the producer. An Ottawa Trustee Council is pushing to ban bottled water in schools. Bottled water is not only bad for the environment, being non-biodegradable, but also bad for the drinker, as the plastic contains toxins which can easily leak into the water. The fact is that bottled water is unsafe for our health, as well as harmful to the environment.
