Still Praising God through the Storm. Archive for August, 2008. Trying to Act Normal. August 28, 2008. Perhaps its a form of denial, this acting I don’t have cancer, trying to do everything I’ve always done, but then exhaustion hits me and I’m reminded that my body just isn’t up to snuff yet. Dave has to keep reminding me that my body has undergone an onslaught with all this chemotherapy and radiation as well as the cancer itself. Now, the Waiting. August 26, 2008. August 23, 2008. Still Praising God through the Storm. Laquo; Back by Popular Demand. I had some bloodwork today and had an interesting experience. Phebotomist: “Do you believe that someone can actually hear God’s voice? Me: “Yes, I’ve heard God speak.”. It was neat to talk about God’s care for his children. She asked me to pray for her to have patience and endurance to endure the discomforts of the continued lack of electricity. Still Praising God through the Storm. Laquo; Getting Ready for the Hospital. Now, the Waiting. I am home now, weaker than I thought I would be (I slept over 12 hours Thursday night! And hoping to get stronger as the days progress. I must say that I am sick and tired of being sick (nauseated) and tired. The nausea still hasn’t gone away, but I hope that this time around its just the effects of the antibiotic I’m taking for the next 3 days. Still Praising God through the Storm. Laquo; Home at Last. Trying to Act Normal. Now, the Waiting. As of last Thursday I completed the treatment plan… and now we wait. We wait as the chemo and radiation do their job destroying the last of the tumor. This takes patience, faith, and hope as we won’t know the results until the end of September. So as we wait, these are my prayer requests. That I continue to rest in the Lord as I wait. That the tumor will be completely destroyed and I will not have a relapse.

Still Praising God through the Storm. Archive for July, 2008. Laquo; Older Entries. July 29, 2008. I feel it everytime one of you hugs me and says “I’m praying for you” or asks “how can I pray for you? Well that explains a lot. I saw my lab reports yesterday…blood sugar is down below normal (at fasting level when I hadn’t been fasting) white blood count is down, red blood count is down, and I’m anemic. I guess that could explain my weakness on Sunday. Last week the nausea and vomiting was the worse yet&#...

From the wilsons with our regards. Time to take this blog elsewhere. June 16, 2011. With two kids successful and consistent blogging all comes down to time, time, time. From the wilsons with our regards. The place to look for all things practical when it comes to the little one. Abigail Ruth Wilson was born on February 19, 2009 at 11:11 am. After she was born, we discovered that there was a problem with some of her newborn screening tests. Following a visit to a big scary children’s hospital in Memphis and a “nuclear scan”, we discovered that Abbey has a sublingual thyroid (her thyroid didn’t drop down far enough) and congenital hypothyroidism. A Quaker seminary in Richmond, Indiana. Contrary to my assumption that I was giving up storytelling to be a minister, I found that storytelling was at the heart of my ministry. How that plays out will be clear in the sermons, responsive readings and descriptions of other projects in which I am involved. My partner, Mary Lou Prince. I walked over to my studio and looking out to the mountains, I wrote:. On the Holy Mountain. Every thing I’ve learned, every choice I’ve made. Brought me to this holy mountain.
