Farewell, True Blood. With the premiere episode of the final season of True Blood is upon us, I start to recall when I first picked up a copy of Charlaine Harris’ first novel in the Southern Vampire Mysteries series. I couldn’t put it down and quickly read through all the books out at that point. Around that same time, HBO was set to air a show based on the series. Eventually, I started to be weary of the direction the show took but continued to watch, as I’d grown attached to the characters.

New Spectre Teaser Poster Revealed. The James Bond 007 social media accounts released a new teaser poster image for Spectre, with a returning Daniel Craig in the starring role. I will admit, I think it's lovely but it seems to be a bit of a departure from previous teaser posters. What do you think? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Rev Stan's Theatre Blog. WillingToBeLucky.net: Fire in Times Square
http://www.willingtobelucky.net/2015/04/fire-in-times-square.html
Fire in Times Square. As I left my friend, Elizabeth and headed home, I walked into Times Square as a rare fire was burning. Trash and cardboard boxes, clearly from the souvenir store adjacent, were ablaze. Of course, I and many others, tourists and locals, gawked. I'll admit, it made me want to roast marshmallows. Firefighters quickly put the fire out and I returned to my trek home. Craziness. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Rev Stan's Theatre Blog. Fire in Times Square.

Attending The Secrets of Homeland Panel. Tuesday night, I had the honour of getting a last minute VIP pass to Showtime's Secrets of Homeland panel held at the Sheraton TriBeCa Club Lounge. It was kind of a fluke in getting the ticket but I was lucky enough to get the final one! Attending this event was such a treat! It'll definitely be worth watching! After the Q&A part, we were all invited to a reception in their Club Lounge overlooking Manhattan. The view was gorgeous! On our way out, we received goodi...

Magneto and Professor X set to Reunite on Broadway! Producers have just announced that Sir Ian McKellan and Sir Patrick Stewart are not just coming to Broadway, but are teaming up to do Samuel Beckett's "Waiting For Godot,". A show they previously did on the West End, AND Harold Pinter's "No Man's Land". Could this be any cooler? Not only do we in the States FINALLY get to see the much talked about Waiting For Godot from 2009, but we will also get to see them perform in a classic Pinter piece! New Images...

I'm heading to ATX Television Festival on Thursday! A friend of mine went last year and had the time of her life so I was determined to go this year after hearing a bit of the lineup! Hopefully, I'll be posting interesting things I hear, see or discover at the fest and in Austin! It'll be my first time there so I'm excited. Especially because all the comparisons with Portland many of my friends have made recently. The two panels I'm most excited about are the Journeyman panel and Gilmore Girls reunion!
