fazzledown: January 2015
http://fazzledown.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 28 January 2015. New definition of Brass Neck. I was going to tweet this but the sheer wrong-headedness of it, the brazen incongruity - the logic-defying, sense-denying, two-faced, obviously opportunistic, epoch-busting craven effrontery of it, means a tweet could never do it justice. Fergus Ewing today announced. I'm surprised Duncan manages to tweet anything at all, his synapses no longer believe anything his neurons are peddling. Well, according to some anyway. Tuesday, 27 January 2015.

fazzledown: Still here/Is it just me?
http://fazzledown.blogspot.com/2015/03/still-hereis-it-just-me.html
Wednesday, 4 March 2015. Still here/Is it just me? I'm still here, just. I know I do on occasion. Deploy the editorial 'we' but its just me sitting here, there is no team. My Mum isn't well, she has Parkinson's Disease and recently its taken a turn for the worst, which is why there was no post last week and this week's is truncated. I could go on about my Mum but I won't, its just indescribably and heart-breakingly sad. The idea of doing something for people like you, me or my Mum doesn't occur to any of...

fazzledown: February 2015
http://fazzledown.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, 19 February 2015. Its not often I get to blog from actual experience and while I cannot claim to work for the NHS department responsible for dishing out statistics, its fair to say - from my desk situated at the throbbing heart of Scotland's National Health Service - I can offer something of an insight into How Things Really Work. For medical imaging (be that x-ray, CT or CAT scanning.) These things are often part of the fabric of the building so require a fair bit of forward planning. Zeus at ...

fazzledown: August 2014
http://fazzledown.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Friday, 29 August 2014. I've just been busy. Working away again, this time they put me in charge of something which is never a great idea. However, you learn things about how you are perceived by others when you are put in charge. This might be hard to believe but I'm not a particularly serious person, not even (probably especially) at work, and when it came to taking the lead - it showed. There are those who still think Yes voters are a lunatic fringe, they believe we're voting the way we are because we...

fazzledown: May 2014
http://fazzledown.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 27 May 2014. Busy busy busy. (Euro-elections, that arse Coburn and VNB's.). So, its been a busy time recently and for my own part I have to admit to a bit of target paralysis. Normally this happens to me in the aisles of a supermarket, I'll be wanting a loaf of bread or something for dinner but the choice is so abundant that making a decision becomes quite difficult. My bread-buying paradigm for example is quite simple: is it white and does it have seeds? For the fake that it is - right up to th...

fazzledown: December 2014
http://fazzledown.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 31 December 2014. I was hoping to finish the year on a positive note but then I came to my senses - there isn't much that separates Christmas and New Year in terms of faux expectation and eventual disappointment. I was going to try and avoid adding to it but then I saw this:. There's not much left to say and not much of 2014 remaining to say it - except. Do fuck off Claire. Wednesday, 24 December 2014. A Last Gasp of Madness for 2014. Meanwhile, round the giant fibre optic Christmas tree, chil...

fazzledown: November 2014
http://fazzledown.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 26 November 2014. I've been avoiding the usual 10:30pm current affairs slot on the telly but did tune in last night for Scotland Tonight's interview with the contender for Scottish Labour's Leadership, I'm still not sure who the other two people were. That would be me. Said when Nicola Sturgeon spoke this week in parliament; it was all rhetoric. He went on to back the claim up with - you'll never guess - some rhetoric. Much of what they say seems to be the result of focus group meeting...Scott...

fazzledown: The Workhouse Comparison.
http://fazzledown.blogspot.com/2015/02/the-workhouse-comparison.html
Tuesday, 17 February 2015. Many will have seen on Twitter or in newspapers the claim that Westminster parties would dearly love to bash those in receipt of welfare even more by bringing back the workhouse. Its said half in jest, but how accurate a claim is it? The image above is the first paragraph from the main entry on Wikipedia about workhouses. First off; what David Cameron suggests is. Even East Lothian had a poorhouse (Scotland's versions of the workhouse.) Situated in East Linton but long sinc...
