http://reztravelblog.blogspot.com/2014/02/mumbai-2014-return-after-4-years.html
Travels to Bombay and beyond. February 16, 2014. Mumbai 2014: A Return After 4 Years. With Aliyah almost five years old and Zal two-and-a-half, Naghmeh and I decided it was time to go see our family and friends in Mumbai after being away four years. I was there for ten days; Naghmeh and the kids stayed for six weeks. Why are there so many homeless people? Will give a better sense of its beauty. It is a welcome retreat from the bustle of the city, a place we hope to visit many more times in the future.

Travels to Bombay and beyond. January 30, 2005. Bombay Goa: The City and the Surf. I return to Bombay after two years. My childhood home for eighteen years, rich with memory, the comfort of family and the warmth of old friends. Bombay, an island. Nestled against the west coast of India along the Arabian Sea, came to prominence in the 17th century when the British took advantage of its natural harbor and made it a busy trading port. Today, Bombay’s pungent mix of business center and entertainment. 8 hours...

Reza's Travel Blog: Bombay stories 1998-99
http://reztravelblog.blogspot.com/2005/01/bombay-stories-1998-99.html
Travels to Bombay and beyond. January 30, 2005. Planes, Trains and Autorickshaws and other Bombay stories. Mimo and Rudy, the Red-nosed Rude-dog. As a disclaimer - we don’t want to hurt Rudy. He has become a foil for many jokes and laughs between my brother and me. We will remember Operation Rudy as we sit with our grandchildren and laugh as they think their old fogey grandfathers have a screw loose. I look forward to that day. Thanks for the memory Rudy.). Dad, the Champion Penthathlete. With a couple h...

Reza's Travel Blog: Tokyo Bombay 2004-05
http://reztravelblog.blogspot.com/2005/02/tokyo-bombay-2004-05.html
Travels to Bombay and beyond. February 11, 2005. Tokyo Bombay: Urban Contrast. Out on the street in Shibuya, I feel like I am in a scene. From "Lost in Translation". The crowds streaming across the crossroads. Push to get your way or you will miss the train. And the louder your voice and angrier you sound gets you further. And a supreme use of framing and perspective. It reminds me of another favorite art-form: comics - especially TinTin. That I grew up reading. In the dusty bushes behind him. The ni...

Reza's Travel Blog: Bombay 1999-2000
http://reztravelblog.blogspot.com/2005/01/bombay-1999-2000.html
Travels to Bombay and beyond. January 30, 2005. Mumbai for the Millenium. And that is the Bombay I know. Even with the teeming crowds and the choking traffic, people from all over India still come to Bombay thousands a week to try to find their place in it, to try to make something of themselves. And the others adjust, because they know that those that came before them, moved a bit to give them some space. Three Flights Up Party like it’s 1999. Swimming Showdown Who’s the King.
