The Story Never Ends: – Musings on Social Histories of Rhetoic from Dr. Candace Epps-Robertson

The Story Never Ends:. Musings on Social Histories of Rhetoic from Dr. Candace Epps-Robertson. This History Belongs to You and Me. July 5, 2015. July 5, 2015. It seems almost unbelievable that I could have been born and raised here and never really spent much time thinking of the Civil War, but its true. I went to elementary school in Richmond’s historic Church Hill. And high school in the museum district. Both areas are saturated in Civil War history. How could I have not paid attention, right? Like Coa...

Ethos, Pathos and Logos | The Forms of Rhetoric

Ethos, Pathos and Logos. The Forms of Rhetoric. Ethos, Pathos, and Logos are three integral parts of any rhetorical persuasion, whether it is a persuasive paper, a weekly journal, or an advertisement for toothpaste. Everyone who buys anything: an idea or an item is convinced by one of the three forms of rhetoric. Ethos is the form of rhetoric that relies on trust trust that the speaker actually knows what they are talking about. One example of Ethos is in watches. This type of rhetoric is Pathos because ...

Daily Rhetoric

Tales of Dread and Industrial Blight. Tuesday, December 11, 2007. Well I go away for a while and all hell breaks loose. Oprah on the campaign trail with Obama, Hillary on the ropes for the first time, Huckabee making a serious bid for the nomination on the coat tails of Chuck Norris.am I conscious? Or have I somehow quantum tunneled into a parallel universe? Added to all this, the writers strike is depriving me of my nightly regimen of Paris Hilton and Larry Craig jokes. Oh, the trials I must endure!

APLANG2010

Thursday, June 3, 2010. Thursday, April 29, 2010. Pilgrim at Tinker Creek - Annie Dillard. The book seems to be for nature lovers, but wouldn't the intended audience be outside, observing the world, instead of reading? My guess is that Pilgrim at Tinker Creek was mainly written for herself; Dillard had these thoughts, and wanted to organize and compile them by writing. Due to the lack of a genre, this book likely received little public attention until it won the Pulitzer Prize. Monday, March 29, 2010.

Rx-Prescription Adult Content

Some of my comedy material is of an "Adult" nature; language and content some might find objectionable. That doesn't mean I shouldn't publish it, so here it is. Email me: rorwell@spinfinity.com. Tuesday, October 18, 2011. I'm shopping opinions and would appreciate yours. Too crude, funny, neither? My wife hella hates me, not just because of Pilates stains, but because I have a girlfriend. Young and (I think this is so sexy) she's got a tramp stamp. Do we all know what that is? Friday, April 15, 2011.

The World's Oldest Gifted Child (TM) is a Stand-up Comedian in Castro Valley, Ca. Thursday, April 5, 2012. I did a 2-hour podcast on 3/20. Enormous fun. I'll attach only the 5-minute bit I performed live, but it was all fun. I was one of three guests of host Sandra Risser, a very experienced and world-traveled comic. The other two were Alex M., a performance artist poet, and Alex White another comic. I may get into more details later, but here's the bit. Thursday, March 8, 2012. Once in a great while [p]...
