The Riber Valley Light Railway: The Railway has a home!
http://ribervalley009.blogspot.com/2010/11/railway-has-home.html
The Riber Valley Light Railway. This will be the story of the development of a 009 layout based on a railway serving one of the many collieries in the North Derbyshire Coalfield in the 1950's. It is entirely a product of my imagination so please don't count the rivets! Sunday, 14 November 2010. The Railway has a home! The shed is finished at last! The rest of the cladding was added over the course of several weekends as the enthusiasm and wallet dictated. Posted by Simon K. 27 November 2010 at 14:23.

The planted out seedlings either turned red or died away. Not very promising! Posted by Simon K. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Bethania: July 2010
http://bethanianwngr.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, 24 July 2010. Break it down and build it up. Well, it's amazing what 15 minutes and a jar of paint stripper will do. Russell was pretty soon down to its component parts. I found it quite intriguing watching all the previous liveries come through as each layer was stripped back. But that was the easy bit! Tuesday, 20 July 2010. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Bethania: Baldwin 50HP Gas Mechanical
http://bethanianwngr.blogspot.com/2011/01/baldwin-50hp-gas-mechanical.html
Sunday, 9 January 2011. Baldwin 50HP Gas Mechanical. After all that, it actually ran! A real emotional moment as this is the first kit I've got from etches to that point. At the head of a train I think it looks great. It's almost a shame that on the actual layout it'll just be used to shunt from the quarry branch to the station but I'm sure I'll let it get a run every once in a while! I did, however, learn a few lessons:. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Baldwin 50HP Gas Mechanical.

Blaencwm Works: September 2014
http://blaencwm.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Billington Road - OO DCC. Sunday, 28 September 2014. Time for a update I think,. In the time since the last update, further items of rolling stock and motive power have arrived on the 009 layout. I'll start with the latest motive power. The final new arrival is a new Minitrains Feldbahn 0-8-0T engine. Brought ready to run from the 009 Society, its a very smooth and powerful little engine for its size. Its a very controllable little engine which helps on such a short layout as Blaencwm. Moving onto rollin...
