Rhyme, meter, and my musings

Rhyme, meter, and my musings. Wednesday, October 7, 2015. I have spent time reflecting on the wonders of motherhood lately, I love being mom to my sons. I know that I have talked about my children on several occasions here, but I cannot help myself. They are an enormous part of who I am and who I will become. As they grow and change I also grow and change. A while back I wrote this poem for my youngest son, whom I have found the most challenging in temperament, and whom I often find myself most frustrate...

Rhyme, meter, and my musings: February 2014

http://rhymemetermymusings.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html

Rhyme, meter, and my musings. Wednesday, February 12, 2014. I didn't disappear. Honest! I didn't disappear. Honest! I've just been truly lazy about this blog. I've not even slacked off of writing. I have written quite a number of poems of late. It seems the laziness only extends to posting on here. Oh well, here I am, ready to post away. That is, if this ice storm doesn't deprive me of power. Love, hope, joy, affection. Hate, despair, sadness, disdain. Coruscant, intangible thing. How blessed a gift.

Rhyme, meter, and my musings: November 2009

http://rhymemetermymusings.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Rhyme, meter, and my musings. Sunday, November 15, 2009. So sorry. here have some Shakespeare! Yes, so I've not posted in a long while. As I said on my other blog. I've been naughty! My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun;. Coral is far more red, than her lips red:. If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun;. If hairs be wires, why then black wires grow on her head;. I have seen roses damasked, red, and white,. But no such roses see I in her cheeks;. And in some perfumes is there more delight,.

Rhyme, meter, and my musings: The Humble

http://rhymemetermymusings.blogspot.com/2013/12/the-humble.html

Rhyme, meter, and my musings. Tuesday, December 10, 2013. I know, it has been ages! In honor of the humble humans out there who give to others, lend a helping hand, or go beyond the call of duty in the name of kindness with no expectations of praise or acknowledgement in any form, this is for you. I wrote this several weeks ago, and now seems an apt time to drag it out of my journal and onto my blog. Are seldom the greatest. Are seldom true heroes. Are often sorely used. The rewards unseen,.

Rhyme, meter, and my musings: December 2013

http://rhymemetermymusings.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

Rhyme, meter, and my musings. Wednesday, December 18, 2013. I have spent the past few days baking and making candy in preparation for next week's festivities. I love baking and making sweets, but this is the only time of year I truly allow myself to indulge in doing so. I am joined in the kitchen sporadically by my eldest son, who seems to believe that every step of making these things is endlessly fascinating. Tuesday, December 10, 2013. I know, it has been ages! In honor of the humble humans out there ...

Ballad of Evermore

Rhymemeister Rhyme and Reason. Rhymemeister (Rhyme and Reason). Rhymemeister (Rhyme and Reason). From out a dark void when comets were born. Plasma clouds spewed from th fiery storm. Star clusters came hurtling out of the night. And scattered as endless vast cauldrons of light. Matter streaked forth from the boundries of time. Filling the chaos with form and design. Magma seas raged and cosmic dust blurred the dawn. As a new world spun silent round the girth of it's spawn. Exalted vast tributes of knowle...

Rhyme & Meter | Romance & Rationalism

What is Rhyme and Meter? October 21, 2011. You are the brightest of your kind,. And by us always overlooked. For with a flick we make you serve,. Or with a clap or snap we make. You work. But you are still like us,. Just with a diffrent kind of blood. That courses through your metal veins. Like you we break and dim with age. October 14, 2011. Featured Poet: Christiana Doucette. Locked in by sin-built grey grim walls I sat. And mourned the passing of my carefree days. Inheiritor of chains and frozen breath.
