Rochdale's long-lost Station Subway. Was finally brought back into service on Friday 10th July 2015. It had been closed in 1979, and fell into disrepair. Nature took over with rubbish and debris filling the once busy subway. As part of the refurbishment. New York Flagstones have been installed,. Original brickwork and tiling restored. And new strip lighting erected. Black railings have been installed to block access to the old platforms. The ornate bridge steelwork has been cleaned.
