Sunday, February 19, 2006. Finally, a picture! I posted a little while back with a question about zippers.I've since pieced the whole thing together (after overblocking it: d'oh! I lengthened the sleeves and the body, but the body is still a little short for my tastes. I love it, though! Very warm, and the color turned out nicely. Monday, February 28, 2005. Diana wearing Ribby Cardi. Here I am at Stitch N' Bitch (Purlygirls Seattle) tonight sporting my new ribby. Zipper is complete and fabulous. And with my two-way zipper in action. My wishes for my next sweater to be perfect: sleeves 1 inches longer and body 1 inch longer. Monday, March 27, 2006. Finished (so long ago). I finished my ribby (my first sweater! Way back in .um, June 2005. I just never got around to posting the finished product. I used 5 skeins of Cascade 220 for the 36/37 size. I lengthened the body and sleeves a bit, but I don't know how much. I ordered my zipper from zipperstop.com after not being able to find anything remotely suitable locally. The zipper installation was a bit of a pain, but let's not get into that! I actually started the cardi a month ago and was hoping to have it finished by last weekend for hubby's birthday, but that didn't happen. Not enough hours in the day! I'm currently working on the sleeves simultaneously and am just about to the point of the first increases. Hopefully I can get this finished by the 24th (my birthday) so I can cast on a new project. Not sure how everyone else approaches it, but my button jar is rather barren - I tend to finish a project.then I drag it into the knitting store where I can "try on" buttons or finishing accents at will :). Yeah, I am not a button collector, too. I rather knit something and then find buttons to match. And the leather buttons really finish it off in grand style.
