The hope is to achieve this utilizing parallelism at all levels:. Instruction level parallelism (adaptive N-way SIMD). Network-distributed rendering (custom protocol over TCP/IP). RibTools is currently at a very early stage of development and it's only tested against a small selection of simple scenes included in the project.
