Summer in the Sun. Rich and Lois' trip to New Orleans in the summer of 2010. Saturday, July 21, 2012. This is in contrast to our biblical understanding that Christ entered the Holy place once for all and opened the way that all believers may commune and fellowship with God. Summer in the Sun. Rich and Lois' trip to New Orleans in the summer of 2010. Friday, June 25, 2010. This has been a week of surprises. But after 5 weeks here we should not have been surprised when things were not easy. Right? My surprise was less dramatic and was not really a shock at all. Our goal for the house on. The short term group that was here this week was a Brethren In Christ church near Lancaster,PA. Rich's group was knowledgeable about the the various construction tasks that were tackled.

Summer in the Sun. Rich and Lois' trip to New Orleans in the summer of 2010. Monday, July 16, 2012. Last weekend we stayed in the Jewish settlement Nokdim and observed Shabbot with our host family. Their settlement is close to ancient Tekoa and there are Palestinians who live close by. The land issue is central to the trouble between Jews and Arabs (a non jew whether Muslim or Christian). Wednesday, July 18, 2012. A Few of My Favorite Things. I love old things! A friend asked me if I would like to have a chicken coop that came from an old chicken house they tore down. She knew I was looking for something for the kids to put hats, gloves, shoes, etc. in and thought this would be perfect. Well, it is! Tuesday, December 28, 2010. I love this time of year! I love decorating the house while listening to Christmas music. I love the smell and taste of fresh baked Christmas cookies. I love burning candles around the house. I love taking cookies to the neighbors. I DO NOT LOVE trying to take a family picture. Usually it it chaos! Wednesday, March 9, 2011. A favorite dish made when family gathers from a distance:. Roast pork tenderloin or roast in oven 6 or 7 hours on low or 350@ 3-4 hours. 1 cup veg oil. 2 Tbs garlic powder(can cut back). 1/2 cup lemon juice. Pour over roast after shredding and reheat a couple hours. I have many good memories of spending time with my cousin growing up. Now, our daughters and sons are best friends. Horse back riding with my cousin. My girls loved all the attention they got the whole weekend!

Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Summer is now in full swing and I wanted to share a few fun ideas to keep the kiddos occupied. I started playing with a few ideas that I found at a blog called "Brown Paper Packages". I found $1.00 flower pots at Walmart and painted a letter for each of the childrens names, then let them decorate with stickers and markers. I also decided to make the hallway into an art gallery. The children love it! Ah yes, summertime.Only 3 weeks into into and still so many adventures to come!

He had the most amazing day at school.Costume parade, party, goody bag from his teacher. Such a lucky boy! Then our neighborhood turns into a big block party at night and the kids had a blast!
