Tuesday, March 15, 2011. A Tour of the Independence Visitors' Center. In a few weeks, though the flower beds will be full of tulips in bloom and THAT will be blog worthy, we're told. Sunday, June 12, 2011. Spring Comes and Goes, and So Do Missionaries. After a long, cold winter, the coming of spring was very welcome. We expectantly watched the emerging daffodils in front of Liberty Jail. One day when the buds were about to open, I walked outside via a door which is kept locked, and found this wonderful surprise. These daffodils had been planted in a sunny spot and were already in full bloom. It did wonders for my spirits. These are the flowers I had waited for, the white dogwood....
