An infographic and visualisation blog. Newer posts →. National Map of Shared Services. January 13, 2012. The Local Government Association have used Googlemaps to visualise shared services throughout England as shown in the map below. The colours on the map indicate which service is being shared, the stars indicate operational shared services. The interactive map and the source data can be accessed via the LGA’s website. January 7, 2012. I didn’t really make any resolutions but. Rang a few bells with me.

An infographic and visualisation blog. Now wash your hands. 8220;Nothing uses carbon like a first world human” →. A change or a rest? February 14, 2014. This week will be my last working week at Telford and Wrekin Council as I’m taking voluntary redundancy. I have worked at the Council since I left school 25 years ago and although I’m sad to be leaving the many friends I’ve made over the years I decided several months ago that it was time for a change, a rest or possibly both. Now wash your hands. You ar...

Images from my vintage photo collection. Hello, and thank you for visiting my little corner of cyberspace. I’d love to hear your reactions to these images. In the best possible world, these photos could help a costume designer, or fill a gap in somebody’s genealogy research, or something along those lines. But I’d be happy just to know that other people found looking at these images to be interesting and enjoyable. Thanks! 73 comments on “About”. 1 Oct 2011 at 8:00 am. 1 Oct 2011 at 1:48 pm. St John Ambulance Association | lost and found

https://lostandfoundphotographs.wordpress.com/2014/09/29/st-john-ambulance-association

Breathing new life into lost photographs. St John Ambulance Association. Pre 1900 cabinet card featuring the St John Ambulance volunteers. I have been unable to locate the place name on the stretcher as two letters are covered by the wheel reading. St John Ambulance Association * hornill. This image will soon be owned by another, I sold it to pay for the remaining images. A decision I am already starting to regret! September 29, 2014. 5 Comments to “St John Ambulance Association”. Taking a dip with the dog | lost and found

https://lostandfoundphotographs.wordpress.com/2014/10/29/taking-a-dip-with-the-dog

Breathing new life into lost photographs. Taking a dip with the dog. Small photograph (measuring 68 x 108mm) bought at an Antiques Fair, Oswestry Show Ground. No message on the reverse. Judging by bottom of the young lady’s coat she looks to have been swimming, I’m not sure if the dog joined her or not. I like her facial expression, the photo shy dog and the beautiful trees in the background. October 29, 2014. 3 Comments to “Taking a dip with the dog”. October 29, 2014 at 5:00 pm. Breathing new life into lost photographs. This postcard tells us the location but doesn’t provide any information on the subjects . I bought the card at a car boot sale in Wellington, Shropshire from the same gentleman who sold me the photo booth image in my last post. The cars help to date the photograph which looks as though it was taken in the 1920s – 1930s. June 21, 2015. 5 Comments to “Paris Rue Royale”. June 21, 2015 at 11:57 pm. June 24, 2015 at 7:13 pm. Two ladies and a Photo Booth | lost and found

https://lostandfoundphotographs.wordpress.com/2015/05/13/two-ladies-and-a-photo-booth

Breathing new life into lost photographs. Two ladies and a Photo Booth. This set of photographs was kindly kept for me by a smallholder at my local car boot sale. He knows that I collect old photographs and had hung onto this set from last year. No information on the reverse but they had fun, back then the Photo Booths took four different images. Judging by the clothes I would say the photographs date from the 1960s or 70s. The two ladies look alike, perhaps they were mother and daughter? May 13, 2015.

Breathing new life into lost photographs. Mystery man and two ladies. This Cabinet Card was bought from a Photography Fair in Wolverhampton. The card doesn’t provide any information on the sitter or the photographer unfortunately. The gentleman’s pose makes it look as though he is a prisoner of some kind and his clothes look as though he might be in the armed forces. April 16, 2015. 4 Comments to “Mystery man and two ladies”.
