Nathan and Jelaire: October 2010
http://nathanandjelaire.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Jelaire, Jelaire, Jelaire, and Jelaire. No, this post isn't about how self-absorbed I am! I wanted to dedicate this post to one of the many legacies she left behind: her name. The First-born Daughter Chain. Here is a quick look at how the tradition got started. The name is always passed down to the firstborn daughter. Below is the list of generations of Jelaires:. Jelaire Katherine Chandler Simpson (my grandmother). Jelaire Christine Simpson Lemmon (mother). Weston, who he wa...

Nathan and Jelaire: A Whirlwind Month
http://nathanandjelaire.blogspot.com/2011/03/whirlwind-month.html
Thursday, March 17, 2011. This last month or so has been crazy! We're trying to get everything done before baby gets here at the end of the month, so we've packed everything in to such a short amount of time. Here's what we've been up to the past month:. We hosted an interfaith dialogue with a group of evangelicals from Westmont College in California. We are still re-tiling our laundry room, kitchen, dining room, and entry way (this has been quite the process). We bought a minivan from my cousin. Yeah Th...

Nathan and Jelaire: June 2011
http://nathanandjelaire.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 2, 2011. Sam the Manly Man and Avery is 2! I can't believe how big she is! She is becoming the sweetest little girl. So kind and caring. The only time she throws big tantrums is when we tell her to hop in bed, and she hasn't given Sammy a kiss goodnight yet. She always smothers him with love (a.k.a. her blankie) and tries to share her favorite foods (pretzels and goldfish) with him. Sam has started to recognize his fist, and also scratches his face much less than before. Avery and Nathan w...

Nathan and Jelaire: August 2011
http://nathanandjelaire.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 3, 2011. We've arrived in Yuma! I've been busy with all the little things that happen when you move to a new state. Here are me and Avery outside our house - Look, GRASS! It has grass in the backyard too! The temperature is soooo blasted hot outside that this is how Avery spends her days back there if she absolutely has to go out! This is a regular sight in the skies. Sure beats commercial airliners! Our friends Joe and Emily actually moved to Yuma a year before we did, so it was a nice...

Nathan and Jelaire: Samuel Nathan
http://nathanandjelaire.blogspot.com/2011/04/samuel-nathan.html
Saturday, April 16, 2011. Here are some pics of little Sam. These are the ones from Bella Baby, so if you looked at the link last post, then you've seen these. We'll have more pictures coming in a few weeks, too. Our friend is a photographer and took baby pictures of Sam, so as soon as we get those, we'll post them. Unfortunately he doesn't go for that long at home now.especially at night. :) He has the sweetest little "cry." He kind of squeaks. It makes me smile every time! They've brought/will be bring...
