The Bell Tower inside the Old City Wall was once used to signal sunrise with the ringing of a huge bell - seen at the corner of the building. Everything in the old city is described in relation to the Bell Tower. The Drum Tower, across the square from the Bell Tower, traditionally signalled sundown with the beating of a large drum.
