Saturday, March 6, 2010. During the Canadian Men's Gold Medal win, JoAnne arrived at the airport in Vancouver, we got to celebrate the win in Abbottsford in great weather. Just a few short weeks ago I was contacted with an offer of a Position on the Ladies Alpine at Whistler as part of the course crew. Jo Anne and I applied for this about 2 years ago, she has not been offered anything yet. Saturday, February 27, 2010. We are finished on the Ladies Track, Just barely got the final event, done yesterday in snow, rain and fog. The snow was very slushy and I am sure the racers did not like the conditions at all. The Men's hopefully goes today and it is a mix of rain and snow at the base and lot's of snow from mid mountain up. I have heard the avalanche canons going off constantly this morning so it is puking out snow at the peak. What about our Ladies Hockey team! Rick (Eric ) Lane.

Monday, February 22, 2010. We had a light day today awaiting the storms and the 3 am starts for Wed and Friday. This may be the last of the excellent weather for a while. 6 solid days of sun and warm temps. Most of our crew is at the very top of the peak namely Phil, Jeff, John, Rick and Rudy. The Whistler Peak Inutchuck. Spelling not a problem) is losing it's snow cover. another shot of the guys at the Weasel House and the Chef Darin at First Tracks! Thanks to Rudy for these shots. Monday, February 22, 2010. Free Ski and Dinner Party. The races continue on Wednesday and the course is getting shorter so we had Sunday off. Jeff, Rudy and I had a great ski at Blackcomb. And Whistler then watched the Canadians lose to the USA at his place. John (our crew) is sitting on the easy chair, his Wife Susan is assisting the Chef Darin. He has 2 American Roomies. Mountain dogs, Maelle. And Brie. This condo is at Creekside. First Tracks, and is a close second to Cousin Terry's Interwest.
