The will to win means nothing without the will to prepare." - Juma Ikangaa, Tanzania. The trial of miles; miles of trials. Sunday, March 4, 2012. The Barry Roubaix is coming up in three weeks and I'm nervous already. I believe the field is around 1500 riders and there will be pro racers. I hear the course is hilly. I'm scared. 3) On Lehman Road I saw a guy running a chainsaw in a pair of Kevlar assless chaps while is son operated a 30-ton homemade log splitter behind him. Aside from the minivan, cigarett...

http://lifetimesofbobdawn.blogspot.com/2010/09/summer-2010.html
The Cooper Life and Other (Mis)Adventures. Monday, September 27, 2010. What a crazy and busy summer we had. So much to do, so little time! I'll give a summarized, quick recap so I don't bore you to death! Bob and I made a promise that as much as we would like to try something new for the 4th of July, it's best to stick with what we love, Higgins Lake. So Higgins Lake it was for the holiday weekend. Next up was the annual canoe trip we attend every year (here's pictures. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Cooper Life and Other (Mis)Adventures: March 2010
http://lifetimesofbobdawn.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
The Cooper Life and Other (Mis)Adventures. Sunday, March 14, 2010. So, my mystery sickness was identified 3 days after going to the doctor. Lo and behold, I did have strep, just exactly as I told the doctor I did. The throat culture they did for the lab came back 100% positive for it - so needless to say, I suffered miserably for 3 days longer than I should have. Oh well, I'm over it now and happy to be so. Have a very blessed week! Links to this post. Tuesday, March 2, 2010. Links to this post.

So much work to be done, so many races and so little time. I've always thought in order to be a "real athlete" you had to have some sort of skill, natural talent or gift. I'm not convinced that suffering is a skill, talent or gift. This sums it up:. February 3, 2012 at 6:51 PM. I want to be the best at exercising! Iceman (29 mile)- 2:01:51.

It is starting to feel like things are coming together for me. My Saturday run on the Lansing River Trail was probably a bit too much for me but I didn't care how much it hurt. It was wonderful! My Garmin came back from the dead and has been working fine. I'm pretty excited about that. Monday: Run 4 miles.
