SABC is a summer camps for more than 1700 campers and provides first class facilities for groups during the off season. It is situated on the shores of beautiful Travers Reservoir only a few kilometers from Little Bow Provincial Park and adjacent to the Little Bow Resort. www.sabc.ca. It’s a Record Breaker. June 10, 2015. Ride for a Reason 2015 is in the history books! We had a great weekend with a record 52 Riders participating. We busted our goal of $100,000 and are currently sitting just under $110,000, this too is a new record! A new addition to 2015 was adding a timed route on the final day of the ride. 9 Riders participated, 1 tandem and 7 individuals. The fastest Riders road 135 km in 4 hours and 10 minutes! When my friend and cousin in-law, Julie, told me she was participating in Ride for a Reason. Again this year, I knew I had to join. Ride for a Reason was started to raise funds for child sponsorship, to give every child an opportunity to go to camp. From what has traditionally been the last week of September. Grip has been one of the main acts at Thunder Beach for many years. We understand they have to make this change to the bands schedule for the first Saturday in October. They are a great band and we wish them well. Chip has promised to make it up to us down the road.
