赤道直下の国、シンガポールの日々の生活の中での発見、驚き、喜び、そして感動をRIEの目線を通して紹介していきます。 四季のある土地では『一雨毎に涼しくなる』とよく言うが、この季節シンガポールでも毎日のように雨が降る。しかも短時間のスコールとは違い、長時間降る。常夏とはいえ、これから１２月頃まで少々過ごし易い気候になるのだろう。去年もそういえば同じ時期に雨が多く、秋〜冬にかけて案外涼しかった。 雨が降ると外出がおっくうになるとか、犬の散歩に行けないとかという不満をよく耳にするが、私は雨は歓迎するほうだ。特に植物にとってはまさに恵みの雨。灼熱の太陽に照らされている植物にとって、水は命の源。そう思うと、こんな雨が降るたびに、私は嬉しくなる。 2011年6月に3年間のシンガポール生活終了。初の南半球オーストラリアはジェローン (Geelong) での生活がスタート。夫マーク、愛犬のケイ＆カーロとの南十字星 (Southern Cross) の下での暮らし。どうなることやら！ 12300;ウォーターマーク」テーマ. 赤道直下の国、シンガポールの日々の生活の中での発見、驚き、喜び、そして感動をRIEの目線を通して紹介していきます。 新年を迎えたといって特に変化もなく、又、時間も容赦なく同じペースで過ぎ去っているのだが、今年はこの限りある時間を有意義に過ごしたいという想いがいつもの年より大きい。しかしながら、そうは言ってもいつもいつもイベントを企画したり、すべてのことがプロダクティブ(生産的)であるということが、有意義というものでもないのかなと思ったり。あまりに漠然とした発想だからなのか、毎年の「抱負」に挙がるものの、こうすれば有意義に過ごせるという答えは未だに出ない。が、まずは一日一日を大切に過ごすということから見つめ直そうと思う。 そんな想いの日曜日、早起きし、ジョギングを３キロ半ほどさらりと楽しむ。犬のお散歩にて全速力で走る恵とカーロを見て嬉しくなる。うん、まずまずのスタートではないか。 マークと近い将来のことを話しながらのサンデー・ランチ。ゆっくりと流れる時間を存分に満喫できた日曜の午後になった。 Christmas Holiday in USA-Homosassa, FL-.
