Nature tales and camera trails. Presented with a focus on nature photography in New Brunswick, Canada. Monday, June 22, 2015. An Unwanted Nighttime Visitor, a Raccoon. It was around 10 pm one evening last week and my husband grabbed my camera which was nearby, and he took pictures out of our window in the evening darkness when he heard sounds outside in Bird Alley. It has reached the bird feeder by standing on one of our pergola railings. It was helping itself to the finch seed in one of our feeders.

Nature tales and camera trails. Presented with a focus on nature photography in New Brunswick, Canada. Thursday, April 16, 2015. Another Wonderful Spring Day! I would recommend that everyone plant Crocus bulbs in the fall, as it is so exhilarating to see their beautiful blooms at this time of year. Presently we have three beautiful blossoms. And there is more to come as the snow continues to melt! Our next stop was at Oromocto and we saw Cormorants in. Another surprise awaited us as we returned home!

Gallimaufry Gleanings: January 2015
http://ancestrallinks.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
A hodgepodge of things found. Thursday, January 15, 2015. Two Red Barns for Thursday's Challenge. I received some coloured lens filters for Christmas and I was trying out the red filter when I took this photo of two red barns. The barns were already red but The filter really enhanced the barns and I was sold on the idea of using coloured filters. These barns are favourite subjects for my camera and I often take photos of them but I think the above photo is the best I have taken of them. Me ann my camera.

Nature tales and camera trails. Presented with a focus on nature photography in New Brunswick, Canada. Monday, August 03, 2015. Lady Butterfly in my Garden. I have had no luck this summer of seeing a Monarch butterfly or a Viceroy. all I seem to see everywhere are Great-spangled Fritillaries in abundance! I even hang out in two Milkweed patches almost daily! I wiped it up with a tissue and saw to my incredulous surprise, it was a monarch butterfly caterpillar! The two eyespots on the lower hind wing iden...
