CHRIS AND LAUREN: What's in a Name?
http://chrisandlaurenlinford.blogspot.com/2009/11/whats-in-name.html
Saturday, November 28, 2009. What's in a Name? As all of you know Chris and I are expecting our first baby in March. I joined an online group to see what other women were going through the same things I am. Since we are all over 5-months pregnant the new debate is on names. I like unique names, unusual names, etc. just fine. However, can't we agree that there is a line that needs to be drawn at some point? While I think Apple and Sparrow are wierd names, Pilot Inspektor probably crosses the line, no?

A Happy Hodson Family: April 2013
http://happyhodson.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
A Happy Hodson Family. Thursday, April 18, 2013. Since it's easier and I just want to get a post up, I'm going to go with however the pictures decided to come up. So, in random order. Nicole got 2 weeks for spring break. How fun! Well, for her at least. I had 2 weeks, due to a very pleasant surprise of Nicole's dad being out of town and him very nicely letting me have Nicole when he didn't have to (see, I can give credit where credit is due).um, where was I? The picture above and below are show the fun o...

Some of This Might Be True: My Favorite Whipping
http://someofthismightbetrue.blogspot.com/2009/04/my-favorite-whipping.html
Some of This Might Be True. Friday, April 3, 2009. One of my more memorable whippings as a boy was when I was about ten or eleven. My dad and I were in the front yard headed to the car one sunny Florida day when he came to the knowledge that I had violated one rule or another. . After a couple of swings at Skipper, the dog retreated. I suspect Daddy was at least a little amused at the turn of events, and that was the end of the affair. I wasn't sure that day if my father loved me, but I knew my dog did.

CHRIS AND LAUREN: We're Going on Vacation!
http://chrisandlaurenlinford.blogspot.com/2009/06/were-going-on-vacation.html
Thursday, June 4, 2009. We're Going on Vacation! Next month, Chris and I are going on vacation with my awesome Aunt and Uncle. To say that this is a dream trip is a bit of an understatement as far as I am concerned. We are staying in London for a few days and then heading south to Barcelona to begin what can only be described as the-coolest-itinerary-on-the-planet cruise as outlined below:. But I get to spend my 25th birthday in the city I have wanted to visit my whole life, Rome. What a COOL trip! Chris...

Some of This Might Be True: A Cure for Hiccups
http://someofthismightbetrue.blogspot.com/2009/04/cure-for-hiccups.html
Some of This Might Be True. Wednesday, April 8, 2009. A Cure for Hiccups. My widowed grandma lived across 14th Street from us when I was little. I used to visit her regularly, and she seemed to be happy to see me every time. Her pet name for me was Crockett. Even as a teenager, Crockett is the only name she ever called me by. I suppose originally she had called me Davy Crockett, and it just got shortened over the years. That's my theory, but I'm open to correction. Back to the hiccups. Dad I love reading...

Some of This Might Be True: Is That Boy Green?
http://someofthismightbetrue.blogspot.com/2009/04/is-that-boy-green.html
Some of This Might Be True. Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Is That Boy Green? My dad loved to have fun. He loved pulling pranks and especially liked hiding and scaring people. I don't think he did that stuff very often when he was at work, but an account of when he once did has become a family favorite. It was during one of his collection stops that this exchange began:. No, Mr. DeLoach, I think you have everybody in the house insured.". What about that dog right there? You insure dogs too? Is that Boy Green?

Some of This Might Be True: A Motel With A Pool
http://someofthismightbetrue.blogspot.com/2009/08/motel-with-pool.html
Some of This Might Be True. Sunday, August 23, 2009. A Motel With A Pool. The family vacation in the summer of 1967 was the only vacation I can remember that didn't involve a predetermined destination. Seven of us. My parents and the five children still at home. Crammed into the family sedan and headed north out of. I think Daddy's plan was to drive until half the cash in his pocket was gone and then turn around and head home. Our northernmost stop on the five day trek was. 2) It didn't matter if there w...

Some of This Might Be True: Ahmonmelchu
http://someofthismightbetrue.blogspot.com/2009/05/ahmonmelchu.html
Some of This Might Be True. Sunday, May 10, 2009. Growing up I was a "city kid." That's how I thought of myself back then because I lived in town, and a lot of the kids I went to school and church with lived on farms or ranches or otherwise out in the country. Looking back I don't know how anybody who lives in a town of 10,000 could be a "city kid.". Soon after I got in the truck he looked over at me and said, "Ahmonmelchu," which, translated from Southern drawl into standard English, was, "I'm going to ...

Some of This Might Be True. Monday, April 13, 2009. Haggis: Ev-il, Like the Fru-its of the Dev-il. One of my kids' favorite movies is. So I Married an Axe Murderer. 160;I confess to becoming quite fond of it myself. It's really funny and has some very quotable lines. . 160;It's made of ground up internal organs of a sheep and boiled in the stomach of the beast. I thought, "OK, there's one thing that will never make it into my mouth.". Ray's response: "Ewwww, onions.". April 16, 2009 at 4:23 PM. View ...
