Shelly: 09/12/10
http://shellyandoliver.blogspot.com/2010_09_12_archive.html
September 12, 2010. It's been nearly seven months since Shelly left us. That we think about her each and every day means, I guess, that she's not really gone and never will be. A good friend and neighbor, Ed Nicholson, swam a mile in Narragansett on Saturday for " Swim Across America. To raise money for cancer research, partly in Shelly's memory. He's a spring chicken compared to me but I'm still impressed by his athleticism. 1 comments. Read or add. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). TO LEAVE A COMMENT.

January 15, 2010. Things have settled down a bit. Pain control is better and Debbie's visit has been wonderful tonic for her and us all. She arrived on Wednesday and Michael and the boys arrive tomorrow for the weekend. Visits from her cousins David and wife Melissa and Michael as well as Uncle Sam and Margaret were great. Shelly also wanted to post a poem she received from her friend Jess in a past comment but deserved more visibility :. So I promised you a poem, one that will rhyme. TO LEAVE A COMMENT.

March 15, 2010. Some of you may recall a poem I posted a while back by Jess Katz. We received another since Shelly's death and I know Shelly would want to share it with you. From the very first contact Shelly made it quite clear,. 8220;my sister made me call, I don’t want to be here”. When my schedule was tight and I didn’t have much space,. Shelly quickly offered to go to some other place. But when I called her back with an opening at 2,. She hesitantly accepted, mumbling, “I hate you”. What did she hav...

February 22, 2010. Shelly Beth Waxman died at our home at 1:55 in the afternoon on Sunday, February 21, 2010. Judy and I had the honor and privilege of being at her side as she took her last breath. For this we are grateful. She wished not to die alone in a hospital. The funeral was Wednesday, February 24 at Sugarman Sinai Memorial Chapel, 458 Hope Avenue, in Providence RI. We were overwhelmed with the outpouring of support and good wishes. That may be Shelly's greatest legacy of all. As we remember them.
