No Matter What You Do: January 2010
http://nomatterwhatudo.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 15, 2010. As we start a new year. Time to think about how we move forward and what we expect out of 2010. I'm sure hoping it holds more positive energy than 2009, which was a tough year for me. So I start this year with a fresh perspective on some subjects. No, not he Facebook kind! Every month, I plan to reach out to one or two friends and hopefully the old connection is still there and they'll reciprocate in the following month or two and we'll re-establish that REAL connection. Well, u...

No Matter What You Do: Another Athletics change that makes NO SENSE to me
http://nomatterwhatudo.blogspot.com/2012/06/another-athletics-change-that-makes-no.html
Friday, June 8, 2012. Another Athletics change that makes NO SENSE to me. Okay, I kept my trap shut (at least HERE) about all the trades and swaps and roster moves during the off season and even most of them during the early season, but this latest BONEHEAD decision at the hands of the Athletics front office really chaps my hide. Part of it is WHAT is happening, but more of it is THE WAY its being handled. On June 7th, an article came out (Susan Slusser, SF Chron). It wasn't my idea". Well heck, that's g...

No Matter What You Do: E-Mail to Bob Rose, Oakland A's Director of PR
http://nomatterwhatudo.blogspot.com/2011/06/e-mail-to-bob-rose-oakland-as-director.html
Sunday, June 26, 2011. E-Mail to Bob Rose, Oakland A's Director of PR. I urge you to reconsider Dale Tafoya's 'punishment' for acting within the realm of reason for a reporter and reinstate his press credentials. The only thing he was guilty of was expressing his trained view of what was obvious to hundreds of others and reporting on it as ll of the other beat reporter in print. on the radio and on TV have done. A passionate A's fan since 1968. For those of you who would like to contact Bob about this,.

No Matter What You Do: November 2009
http://nomatterwhatudo.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 25, 2009. And other admonitions. But as time progressed, I think her faith in my ability to do the job right improved, and I just got the list. Fortunately, we will be having Thanksgiving with my Wife's family this year. and I think I'll buy a turkey to smoke after the holiday, but I couldn't bring myself to make the traditional family stuffing or buy the ingredients to make any side dishes. Maybe next year. Larry Medina, Human Being. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). No Matter What You Do.

No Matter What You Do: July 2009
http://nomatterwhatudo.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 2, 2009. Happy Birthday, America! Wow here we are on the edge of 233! We've seen a lot of tumultuous times in this Nation of ours, and I'm hoping we're once again on the right track. The last 8 years were tough; I personally didn't agree with many of the course of action taken by the individuals granted power to rule the Nation, and about all we could do was stand by dumbfounded and wait for a changing of the guard. And Man-o-Man, did WE GET CHANGE. It increased from $27T to $52T! The Amer...

No Matter What You Do: YES, I DO still have a pulse!!
http://nomatterwhatudo.blogspot.com/2014/10/hadnt-realized-how-long-it-had-been.html
Wednesday, October 15, 2014. YES, I DO still have a pulse! Hadn't realized how long it had been since I posted anything here. so thought I'd just confirm that I AM still alive and kickin'. Newest phase of my life? HEALTHY EATING. yes, that right healthy. NO, no one has stolen my password and hijacked my page, it's really me. WAY TOO RESTRICTIVE, weekly meetings, our foods only, no alcohol (even occasional). WAY TOO EXPENSIVE, $4100-5300 for a 7-8 month program. Which is ANYTHING BUT "Ideal". It's fro...

No Matter What You Do: January 2009
http://nomatterwhatudo.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 19, 2009. Wow only 14 hours to go and once again, I can proudly refer to the individual who resides in the White House as MY PRESIDENT! Haven't posted for awhile, been pretty busy and will fill in the gap later, but all that aside, I am * STOKED*. So let's all do what we know needs to be done, find a public service project that suits you and dedicate some time to helping America stand up again. Personally? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). No Matter What You Do: Things to be thankful for in the 2012 Season
http://nomatterwhatudo.blogspot.com/2012/09/things-to-be-thankful-for-in-2012-season.html
Thursday, September 27, 2012. Things to be thankful for in the 2012 Season. I think I've decided that during a slow period, the last week of the real baseball season, before things get SUPER GOOFY, it's time for a new post. I know it's not over for the Oakland Athletics yet, in fact our fate for this season remains unknown at this point. So, what gets written today may mean less (or more! In a few days when the regular season ends on Wednesday, October 3rd. Athletics , @CSNAthletics , @CaseyPrattCSN , @K...

No Matter What You Do: October 2008
http://nomatterwhatudo.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Not ALL about the job, Part 2. So, what do you have to do to change things? Think outside the box. Can you afford to work fewer days per month, and does your employer support unpaid leave? Take a Thursday and Friday off once a month and get a 4-day weekend. Are you able to work a 4/10 schedule and get regular 3-day weekends? How about a 9/80 and get a 3-day weekend every other week? That's less than a year. and to me, that was unacceptable. So the next plan? When can I retire, ...
