Engineer, pilot, feminist, mother, etc. Spacefem.com is now mobile-friendly: an illustrated history from geocities to today. Aug 8th, 2015 at 11:07 AM. I accomplished something this week: finally got to a new years resolution to make my spacefem.com homepage. Finally I found this tutorial by Mat Helme: Create an Absolute Basic Mobile CSS Responsive Navigation Menu. But just for fun I stepped back in time a bit, with the help of archive.org. To simpler times. When there was only HTML. Yes that tim...And t...

The diary of a recovering technician: Blogging again
http://stickwhittler.blogspot.com/2010/03/its-been-over-year-since-my-last-post.html
The diary of a recovering technician. Sunday, 28 March 2010. It's been over a year since my last post and I have finally pushed myself to start posting again. I now live in Toronto. I have been employed for around 8 months and I get to work with cool film equipment every day. I guess I am lucky. This car was parked outside my basement apartment this afternoon. It's an old Mercury Cougar and I think it's cool as fuck. 28 March 2010 at 20:54. Good to have you back. 8 April 2010 at 03:36.

Bones Flashback - Valancy
http://valancy.livejournal.com/284248.html
July 18th, 2011. I had to go back to the start after watching the season 6 finale - almost like I had to see if I was making up how good it used to be. The differences jumped out instantly, though they weren't entirely what I was expecting. Before the formula became cemented into immovable parts, this show actually let you into the character's lives and stepped outside its formulaic structure. What kind of person are you? They are more connected and properly geeky moments in the first episode than exist ...

Lost in the Airport - Valancy
http://valancy.livejournal.com/274556.html
Lost in the Airport. June 7th, 2010. I will be meditating on the power of beautiful things, and balancing my checkbook and writing up a proper important LJ entry as soon as the caffeine kicks in. (I splurged.). 2010-06-07 11:39 pm (UTC). What sucks is you are in Utah and I can't see you! The Blue Burrito in terminal B is a good place to eat if you're hungry, by the by.). 2010-06-08 08:17 pm (UTC). Though on the upside I did get to very briefly see a bit of Utah. Hell of a view! 2010-06-09 02:40 am (UTC).

Exercise - Valancy
http://valancy.livejournal.com/277242.html
August 19th, 2010. Feel free to skip if you have no interest in random exercise videos. :). So after years of mostly pilates and running, I'm trying to branch out, especially since I'm feeling less than motivated and things that aren't new are boring. (Also, I haven't installed a shelf yet so that I can easily watch episodes while running, and I'm tired of laboriously copying, reformatting, and transferring them to my iPod.). Crunch: Pick Your Spot Pilates. 2010-08-19 07:40 pm (UTC). I had a frozen banan...

An entry of substance - The Madness to My Method
http://tommx.livejournal.com/779760.html
The Madness to My Method. I abhor the dull routine of existence. An entry of substance. Feb 11th, 2015 at 1:43 PM. Recently I was looking over some old entries from this thing, and have concluded that I need to write more here, if only to have a place to write my thoughts that wasn't going to be poured over by distant family insistent on commenting on everything I say and picking it apart to death. I'd rather let whomever is still reading this thing do that. Last week I auditioned for To Kill a Mockingbi...

That's Entertainment - Valancy
http://valancy.livejournal.com/275334.html
July 6th, 2010. I just realized today that in the past six months I have moved, gone to two out-of-town weddings, took two 10-day business trips, took a trip back home just to visit family, got a dog (and put him in therapy), and entertained 14 (as of tomorrow, 18) guests. Plus day job, plus writing, plus running online magazine. I think I'm taking the fall off. I'm turning into a megalocrankodon. 2010-07-07 05:08 am (UTC). Presumably, that is a very large variety of crankodon? 2010-07-07 03:15 pm (UTC).

So it was late and I decided "why don't I check into the Requires Hate controversy again?" - Tim Lieder

Aug 5th, 2015 11:15 am. She writes "Nothing there is healthy or okay. Nothing there sounds like a person; there’s no humanity on display, just a raging need to experience power rush." That is TOTALLY HER. That defines every single internet exchange she's had since she was Winterfox. Becomes more fuel for the BS/RH victim train.

Shifting Sands of Social Networking Serendipity - The Madness to My Method
http://tommx.livejournal.com/779785.html
The Madness to My Method. I abhor the dull routine of existence. Shifting Sands of Social Networking Serendipity. Apr 14th, 2015 at 8:44 AM. So, a couple of Saturdays ago, I had an interesting experience in serendipity and the long term effects of one's social networking footprint. Anyway, I found out about the concert through Meetup. I wasn't too sure if I'd actually meet anyone in the group, but I figured if I did, cool, if not, also cool. Here's where it gets interesting:. Whom I'd connected with thro...
