House of Ephraim: January 2008
http://partofthehouseofephraim.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 26, 2008. If you don't know what Moses said. 44 Now He said to them, " These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.". 45 Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures,. Look at verse 45 where Yeshua opens up their minds to the Scriptures. What Scriptures did Yeshua open their minds to? We must look back in verse 27:. My money is on Moses and ...

House of Ephraim: May 2008

Tuesday, May 27, 2008. As most of my writing starts, i find myself buried in another book written by someone five times as smart as i am and loving every minute of it. This time it is The New Testament and the People of God. By N T. Wright. It is heady reading, but rich with treasure on every page. i am struck by how long it must take to write all of those thoughts down and with aspirations to write a book one day, i am left wondering how i will accomplish such a feat. According to the Scriptures, the go...

House of Ephraim: Took Too Long to Post

Sunday, April 19, 2009. Took Too Long to Post. As i sat in our church today i was again drawn into the dilemma of how do we get a correct view of the Law across to the hearer without negating the necessity to obey God's commands? Pastor Rick nailed the message speaking on how parenting our children is done exactly how we ourselves view God; if like a judge and disciplinarian, then we will err on the discipline side and neglect grace. The key being a right understanding of God as Father. I had to discipli...

Monday, March 24, 2008. The First “Foundational” Commandment in the Torah. Using the word “foundational” in the title may set me up for questioning because what I propose as “foundational” will most likely not be common for all people. Unfortunately in this world we live in, not many people can come to agreement about anything and this includes those in the congregation of Yeshua. I hope to bridge the chasm setup, however unintentionally, between the God of the Torah and Yeshua. In John chapter 14 verse ...

Monday, February 25, 2008. Sinner's Prayer from Torah. ח וַיְמַהֵר, מֹשֶׁה; וַיִּקֹּד אַרְצָה, וַיִּשְׁתָּחוּ. 8 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped. 9 And he said: 'If now I have found grace in Thy sight, O Lord, let the Lord, I pray Thee, go in the midst of us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for Thine inheritance.'. First we need context. God has just declared that He will not go with Israel into the Promised la...

Tuesday, April 22, 2008. Imputed Righteousness From a Hebraic Mindset. As I studied the Torah portion for last week, was made aware of an interesting patter in Leviticus concerning human impurity that seems to pattern for us this very idea, not to mention the call from the Old Testament for belief of God’s voice and obedience to His commands; belief in His voice for salvation and obedience to His commands for blessing and because of love for your Father in heaven. Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,.

House of Ephraim: Food is for the Stomach...
http://partofthehouseofephraim.blogspot.com/2010/01/food-is-for-stomach.html
Monday, January 11, 2010. Food is for the Stomach. This is from one of my Facebook Messianic brothers. Fascinating! Food for the Stomach and the Stomach for Food". Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food"—and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. Verse taken from the English Standard Version of the Bible, which has quotation marks on this Gnostic Mantra. They also believed in a type of Hyper-Calvin...
