The Rabbi/Detective point and click is clearly an over-crowded genre, so how does The Shivah stand out? Grab a double shot, low fat, no foam latte and sit down with Coffee Tycoon, probably the closest most of us will get to the glitzy life of a café owner. Shootout: Flo vs Betty. This town just isn't big enough for two female fronted serve-em-ups, so it's head to head between Betty's Beer Bar and Diner Dash. Holler at your girl. A New Disaster (Photographs). Risk Complete Failure (Tech).

Westwood

I am a fan of the truly odd Radio 1 DJ and Pimp My Ride UK presenter Tim Westwood, and this has only been enhanced by the wonderful glimpse of his life you get from his Twitter. I've collected some of my favourite moments:. Needed to wash the curtains - they've all shrunk by a foot! Now they don't even cover the windows! Got in late last nite. Nicked a bottle of milk from the building next store. The top came off and spilt all over my best jacket. Bloody karma! Ha - got hot cross buns! How ghetto is that!

Shootout: Flo vs Betty
http://www.gunfist.com/games/reviews/2006/11/08/shootout-flo-vs-betty
Shootout: Flo vs Betty. Betty's Beer Bar by Mystery Studio. Diner Dash by gamelab. Two games, One Slot. A great many of the independent games released are "inspired" by others. Often these are retro classics, or possibly mainstream console or PC titles, but fairly regularly the original game is an indie itself, as can be seen from the number of Bejeweled-esque games available. The music at Betty's place got on my nerves, while the tunes at Flo's were just dull. I turned them both off, no score draw.

How To Use Your Business Cards
http://www.gunfist.com/what/2009/07/30/how-to-use-your-business-cards
How To Use Your Business Cards. I got some new business cards from work the other day, and they came in the box direct from the printer. Which along with the usual ad for themselves included an instruction manual for the cards. Admittedly much of the advice involves giving out as many business cards as possible, something they might be expected to encourage, but there were a couple I wouldn't have guessed. Some choice examples:. Insert A Business Card When Paying Bills. 6 degrees of separation.

Summer Schoolgirls is a clean, wholesome game, full of teen drinking, lecherous teachers and disturbing old men offering sparklers. Friends forever! Disappointing spam of the day. The hits just keep on coming. Sitting in my inbox is the subject line:. Someone has invited you". On opening, the body of the message turns out to be:. Someone has invited you to play bingo.". They weren't even excited enough to use an exclamation mark. I'm going to bed. A New Disaster (Photographs). Risk Complete Failure (Tech).

Coffee Tycoon
http://www.gunfist.com/games/reviews/2006/11/08/coffee-tycoon
Developed by Anarchy Entertainment. Who doesn't like coffee? As an intelligent and experienced gamer, I decided to skip the tutorial and jump straight in. Because Anarchy Entertainment, the developer, clearly hate humanity there was still no way to turn off the god-awful music, and I noticed that you can only save one game at a time. There's no autosave, but considering you only get to store the one game that might be something more of a blessing. Downsized some more baristas. To illustrate, just before ...

The Shivah
http://www.gunfist.com/games/reviews/2007/02/23/the-shivah
Developed by Wadjet Eye. Shivah is an unapologetic old school point and click adventure game. With pixellated graphics, dialogue tree gameplay and big exaggerated animations, it is definitely going to immediately appeal to people who are familiar with the classic point and clicks of the past. There are some extras thrown in, including a "kibbitzing" mode, which I haven't yet tried but promises to offer directors commentary like interjections from the developer. There's also a fun bonus when you compl...
