Those Were The Days: 1251 West 73rd St
http://thosewerethemcgrathdays.blogspot.com/2007/04/1251-west-73rd-st.html
Those Were The Days. Saturday, April 7, 2007. 1251 West 73rd St. This is the house I grew up in. I'm so lucky, I have happy memories of a happy childhood. The house was white stucco, trimmed in green. My bedroom window is the top right, I shared the room with my older sister Geri. My brother Michael often slept in with us too because Geri was a great story teller and leader of our nightly games. In the dark we'd play, "Guess what I see", and "I'm thinking of something that's the color.red! I think we mig...

Those Were The Days: February 2010
http://thosewerethemcgrathdays.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Those Were The Days. Sunday, February 14, 2010. In 1960 or 61, my mom hosted a beauty pageant in our backyard. My brother and friends were the judges, and my older sister and friends were the audience. My friend Chrissy looks adorable doesn't she? She passed away in 1968. Still think about her, she was a good friend. Below I'm making a splash for the bathing suit competition. My friend Peggy poses nicely, Peggy and I are still close friends. Below is my friend Mary Therese who I'm also still close with.

For lots of tips and tricks and teaching and patterns, all free! Really fun blog to visit over and over again. Cindy did a wonderful and funny lecture on organizing your sewing studio, your fabric, and tools. Cindy brought along a wonderful trunk show of small quilts that she pieced by hand, embroidered, and quilted by hand. Beautiful to see. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Maureen's World: January 2014
http://moequiltz.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 26, 2014. My plans to go out and about this weekend with friends were cancelled because of the weather, so I stayed in and sewed! One Project I’m working on is called Warm Winter Blessings by Primitive Gatherings. Lisa of PG did her original quilt in scrappy fabrics, I’m using only 4 fabrics total; background; 2 sashing fabrics; and border. I’m real happy with my choices. Below is a close up of Warm Winter Blessing Block #1. Below is block #2 of Warm Winter Blessings. Sadly, my two dear f...

Maureen's World: June 2013
http://moequiltz.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 12, 2013. I love these roses. They are easy and beautiful. Spent last week power washing the back and front porch every evening after work, now it sparkles. Two new plant holders, one is wicker and the other is a little red pickup truck, I have to get a potted plant for the pick up yet, isn’t it cute. During the winter I keep my houseplants at work where we have a waterfall in the entryway, in the summer they come home to live on my deck, that’s where they do their best growing. Those Wer...
