Talk With Strangers: October 2011
http://talkwithstrangers.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
October 29, 2011. At Campo 4, Talisay. Rappellling off a bridge. Not that high. Just learning the how-to's. Did this six weeks ago. I can't remember much of the details. Before this photo was taken, that yellow multicab attempted to cross the river but got stuck along the way. The water was deeper than they thought. A dump truck had to pull it out. Ropes, harnesses, carabiners, gloves. There are hundreds of ways to tie a knot. A few cyclists passed (and some stopped) by. October 28, 2011. They're like my...

Talk With Strangers: Budlaan River Trek
http://talkwithstrangers.blogspot.com/2011/08/budlaan-trek.html
August 18, 2011. After plenty of turning down invites for the outdoors I finally had the time to join one. Or push through with the river trek. We did the river trek. My camera's LCD was broken so I was shooting through the viewfinder the whole time with no reviewing and stuff. I'm glad the photos came out good. Some girl's feet swimming in coffee. Because of the rain the water was brown. It wasn't really dirty. Just muddy. On normal days the river and waterfalls look like this. I don't really know the n...

Talk With Strangers: Talk With Strangers
http://talkwithstrangers.blogspot.com/p/talk-with-strangers.html
I was never told by my parents not to talk to strangers but even if they did, I would have broken that rule anyway. This blog was named as such because I like talking with people I don't know. Like that needed a lot of explanation, no? Three years of messing around this blog and I haven't told you about my encounters with them. I have lots of stories and I'll tell you about them little by little here. A toast to all things strange and new. I am with you for this to talk to strangers. Ang Balak Ni Balakera.

Talk With Strangers: April 2011
http://talkwithstrangers.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Argao Trek and Spelunk: Balay sa Agta and Bugasok Falls. April 7, 2011. The day right after final exams, I went with Bal. And my high school and med school classmate, Rochelle, to south of Cebu, Argao. I stumbled upon blogger Mark Salvador. Minimal things to bring:. I tend to overpack so my actual list. Rendezvoused with the group at 8am, took the bus from the South Bus Terminal (Php 79), arrived in Argao then took the habal-habal (motorcycle) (Php 50) to Usmad River. We started walking at 10am. Inside t...

Talk With Strangers: February 2011
http://talkwithstrangers.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
How to memorize, the green way. February 4, 2011. Random /green /nevermind, really /skip this. We are down to our penultimate unit, Neuroanatomy. As the word implies, it's about the nervous system but we'd rather call it the nervous breakdown. It's just too complicated that we're always hoping for a miracle every time we have an exam, written or practical. I can't seem to fully understand a chapter even after reading it twice. CRANIAL NERVES I - XII:. Ribriform plate, O. Ptic canal, S. Otundum, Foramen O.

Talk With Strangers: Osmena Peak - Kawasan Falls Traverse
http://talkwithstrangers.blogspot.com/2011/11/osmena-peak-kawasan-falls-traverse.html
Osmena Peak - Kawasan Falls Traverse. November 14, 2011. At 7 AM. Sun was shining and the skies looked promising. We're just six hours away from the waterfalls. Going to that paved road. Stopping by the water source for some cold water sprinkling. PawPaw leading our group of 5. Waiting for Paw's signal. Therese leading this time. Girl power. Fresh water in sight! Just a few more steps away. I'm feeling so jumpy. Kawasan Falls has 3 levels. I've been here a couple of times but not on this (3rd) level.

Talk With Strangers: Cheers
http://talkwithstrangers.blogspot.com/2012/04/cheers.html
April 21, 2012. Summer date with Lora, the only girl I know who prefers to be called by her last name. We were classmates in high school, went to different universities in college (but still kept in touch a lot), and back to being classmates in med school. She is precious. Cheers, Lor! It's been a long while since my last post. School has sucked the life out of my first quarter of the year but it's not all boring. So much has happened: ordinary and surreal. And! February 15, 2013 at 11:01 AM. As we sаid,...

Talk With Strangers: September 2011
http://talkwithstrangers.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
September 26, 2011. I was supposed to bike my way to downtown Cebu but as I pedaled 20 meters off the highway the chains went off. Two passers-by were so kind to help me they didn't mind painting their hands with grease while working with the crankset and chains. but we all eventually gave up. It was the same bike. I borrowed and the owner forgot to tell me it was broken. I wanted to cry! T T I took a cab instead. Anyway, parts of dowtown Cebu were closed for the Moving Planet. There were parkour, vintag...

Talk With Strangers: Napo to Babag Half-day Hike
http://talkwithstrangers.blogspot.com/2013/03/napo-to-babag-half-day-hike.html
Napo to Babag Half-day Hike. March 16, 2013. Last September I went hiking with my schoolmate, Gerard, and his mom whose age quite surprised me and probably you too. It was a weekend and we were told by our professor that we deserve a half-day break per week (seriously! From all the schoolwork. So half-day break we did. Gerard and his mom. Murky waters. That's a kid whose happiness shoots up on the sight and sound of fresh water. Tub time. Water was pretty cold 'coz it rained the night before. My company ...
