The River Diary: November 2008

http://riverleediary.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

Pictures of River Lee. All rights reversed. Copyleft. Wednesday, November 12, 2008. The city is alive in the fall. Colours and light in a hypnotizing dance. The sun sets every day, and every day it's equally beautiful. So far the rains have not really hit Cork. They build buildings. Somewhere in there is the Opera House, and Paul street shopping centre (or, as it's commonly known, Tesco). The light has been this beautiful every evening when I leave work. This is taken from just outside work, Ship Street.

The River Diary: Early

http://riverleediary.blogspot.com/2008/10/early.html

Pictures of River Lee. All rights reversed. Copyleft. Friday, October 17, 2008. This picture was taken on my way to work a couple of days ago, with my mobilecamera, from the bridge just by the busstation. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I have lived in Cork, southern Ireland, for about a year, and I have been constantly in awe of the River Lee. This has resulted in loads of pictures. By now I feel like sharing these pictures with people, instead of only using them as desktop backgrounds.

The River Diary: Calm

http://riverleediary.blogspot.com/2008/10/calm.html

Pictures of River Lee. All rights reversed. Copyleft. Sunday, October 19, 2008. Another early morning, I was late for work but I still had to stop and take a picture of this Shag. Yes, that's what they're called) fishing for breakfast. A moment after this piscture was taken the bird dissapeared under the surface. Same bridge, different direction, different time. The Cathedral in the background. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The River Diary: Darkness

http://riverleediary.blogspot.com/2008/12/darkness.html

Pictures of River Lee. All rights reversed. Copyleft. Monday, December 1, 2008. There's not a lot of light when I'm outdoors nowadays. The sun rises and sets while I'm still at work. So not very much pictures at the moment. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

22 Vicar Street: The joy of The Netherlands

http://22vicar.blogspot.com/2008/07/joy-of-netherlands.html

Strength enough to build a home. Monday, July 14, 2008. The joy of The Netherlands. Oh my god, we are the worst bloggers ever. I have been in the Netherlands to meet some wow-friends this weekend. We were five girls who have played together and raided in the same raidgroup. I'm actually not in the raidgroup since I don't play anyway, but was invited anyway. But the other girls are still playing together. After this weekend I'm very tempted to start playing again though,. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

22 Vicar Street: About a dream

http://22vicar.blogspot.com/2008/10/about-dream.html

Strength enough to build a home. Thursday, October 23, 2008. Hello As most people know I have moved away from the safe haven that is 22 Vicar St but I thought I could make a little guest appearance - I am, after all, an utlandskorre*. Anyway, I believe I kicked some anatomy butt and now, since I don't have any courses going on at the moment, I am trying my luck as an unemployed - at least until Monday when I will be going postal (stupid pun intended). What else do I do with my time?

22 Vicar Street: Things you realize about Ireland while youre away

http://22vicar.blogspot.com/2008/09/things-you-realize-about-ireland-while.html

Strength enough to build a home. Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Things you realize about Ireland while youre away. How nice everybody is. People smile and call you "love". Hot in cold water in different taps. Hot water available only when heating is on. Public bathrooms are constructed so that you can't enter them. It's strange. The door opens inwards and there's no room to both stand in there and close the door. Forgotten about the traffic though. It's absolutely insane and anarchistic. Lovely.

TODAY at River Legacy

TODAY at River Legacy. November 05, 2010. Devil's Cigar is starting to bloom. The Devils Cigar is starting to sprout up near dead cedar elm stumps in River Legacy Parks. It can usually be seen from fall to December. This unusual fungus releases a cloud of smoke-like spores when it opens, making a hissing sound. It can only be foud in parts of Texas and Japan. Check out the photos on our Facebook. Who knew fungus could be so interesting! Nov 5, 2010 2:27:23 PM. October 28, 2010. Oct 28, 2010 10:27:45 AM.
