Bah humbug and that's too strong cause it is my favorite holiday. I had a wonderful three day weekend. I am already trying to decide when I might have another such plunge into the lap of luxury. I think it's far away so I'm not going to look just now, and focus instead on savoring the moment. Bah humbug and that's too strong cause it is my favorite holiday. Who Can it Be Now? I attended my first ACL Festival a few weeks ago and had huge fun. I bought a squeeky pawn shop bike and peddled from a friends house. It was hot, but not miserable, and the bands this year were great. Lot's of violins, a fair bit of whistling, tubas, accordians, Arcade Fire. BJORK. It was good fun. Ya, I guess that's it for my inspiration to blog. The muse slipped through my fingers. Wuthering Kites: Summer Update

Bah humbug and that's too strong cause it is my favorite holiday. Friday: 1. Head to school and take care of all the last day formalities. 2 Go to Trudy's with friends from school and enjoy delicious tex-mex. 3 Drink a cup of coffee at Epoch and read half of The Stranger. 4 Smoke the afternoon cig with Jenny and Lora. 5 Meet Jennifer and Tom at Paramount for a Bogey double feature (Casablanca and To Have and Have Not). Saturday: 1. Sleep until 10 or so. 2 Watch a few episodes of The Singing Detective.

Bah humbug and that's too strong cause it is my favorite holiday. Last night I went to the Prince sing-a-long at the Alamo with friends. This is the third sing-a-long this year for me. I can't get enough. I'm lamenting missing the Monster Ballads that came on the heels of Moulin Rouge, but sometimes life gets in the way. By the way, that Prince is a sex/dancing machine, no wonder MTV was blocked from my small home-town cable. Summer Lovin' (my fantasy which WILL come true). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

I hack stuff up every so often and have downed plenty o' coffee, water, cough drops, and a few aleve for the headache. I've been busy first-year teaching, and that's about all really. So, I've been trapped in classrooms for the past week going through mandatory "staff development" in anticipation of preparing 120 or so promising young minds to change our world, or at least pass the taks test.
