For dinner we had:. Pasta with butter, salt, pepper, parmesan, a ton (well, really a handful) of fresh picked garden basil, and a garden tomato. Since becoming the proud owner of two pairs of wool blend pants, I've been agonizing over how to clean them without carcinogenic, polluting, dry-cleaning. (I haven't cleaned them at all yet) Apparantly, wet-cleaning wool. I'll test it on some scraps first, but here goes. Wet Cleaning Wool and Silk. Hand wash in a sink by gently swirling the clothes in cool water; never twist or wring out wool or silk. If necessary, spot clean with vinegar or lemon juice, but test for dye color fastness first. Does anyone else feel. That Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Sen. Barack Obama are playing good cop/ bad cop on the race issue? Not necessarily intentionally (though that's possible), but maybe both sides are needed. I have my sewing machine! So far, I've accidentally disassembled the bobbin holder (got it back together, eventually), caused a massive thread jam where I had to unscrew the needle to clear it up, and had to rethread the needle a gazillion times. oh, and actually reading directions is good. Permanance fail - Ramblings. August 13th, 2013. 12:43 pm - Permanance fail. GWU cancelled an email address forwarding service they had advertised as a permanent alumni benefit. I used my @alumni.gwu.edu email address as my permanent address. I changed where it forwarded at least 4 times, but whenever I wanted to be known on the internet, I was [redacted]@alumni.gwu.edu. Kid update - Ramblings. May 7th, 2013. 11:08 am - Kid update. He has 2 teeth. That second one was a real doozy and finally popped last night. I'm excited by his phoneme development. He now says "Dada". He has even said "Hello Dad" and "Love Dad"! He has a regular bedtime and a routine. It's at about 8 or 9, which means I can't go out at night anymore. Is looking after him for a bit and then the sitter we had in January will be on summer break and up for work. May 7th, 2013 04:42 pm (UTC). Oh man, yay W!
