September 5th, 2011. Joanne saw a picture of these falls last November, and we have been planning on the 4 mile hike ever since. We finally got around to finding the trail - and was it ever worth it. The trail up Cold Spring Creek was gorgeous and the water falls spectacular! The water flow for September seemed unexpectedly high but we agreed that we should visit again in the spring to check out the falls when the flow is highest. August 18th, 2010. After the visit for Thorin’s Birthday we took the McKenzie pass road out of Sisters for a different and scenic drive home. We had done this drive once before, but interestingly the Dee Write Observatory was vaguely familiar, but the Proxy Falls hike was what we remembered the most from our first drive. The falls are well worth the 1.25 mile hike! Note: Select 20 on page 1 (131 pictures on 7 pages total).
