I'd Rather be Camping. Camping adventures with the Halls and friends. So, you might be asking now, what is there to do at New Brighton State Beach? Well, obviously there’s the beach. And there’s the pier with an old WWI ship (the Palo Alto) at the end of it. You can’t go on the ship, but you can look at it. The kids enjoyed the beach as they always do. We also spent the day at the Santa Cruz boardwalk, grabbing a pizza lunch in Santa Cruz along the way. Palomar Mountain State Park. Date : November 7, 2009.

We probably had more mosquitoes on this trip than all the rest of our trips combined.
