Most likely the first oil rig EVER. It wasn't as spectacular as seeing a 'working' oil rig.but gave a good notion on how things really got started when oil was discovered. Friday, September 30, 2011. August 15-20, 2011. We attended our "first ever" RV ralley in Goshen, IN. (just south of Elkhart, IN) There were 300 RV's at the Fairgrounds, and ours was behind the stage in the "inner circle" of a harness racing track. Interesting. Saturday, February 12, 2011. Organ Pipe Cactus National Park. January 30, 2010. We took off on Sunday, the 30th and headed down to the Organ Pipe Cactus National Park. South of Gila Bend, AZ.just 5-7 miles north of the Mexican border. We had to go through two Border Patrol check points on the way down.they just waved us through.
