MY LIFE AS I KNOW IT. Monday, September 9, 2013. This girl standing next to me inspires me! This is a nightmare.", I saw someone who I had never seen before. And I admired and still do admire her for the person she has become. I can't wait to hear of her adventures from South Korea! So, this is my new focus on this here blog. I am going to miss my friend, Melanie, but I know she will be an awesome missionary, and I know she wouldn't be changing up her life's plan if she didn't feel inspired.

Sunday, February 12. These are the things i'm looking forward to doing:. Ama motorcycle races on ice. We went to the ice races on saturday, pretty crazy - the wheels are all studded, but they still get wiggling a lot on fast, tight curves - it was fun to be there, i just wish there were more racers and a better view * *. Frankfort lighthouse (this includes an hour coastal drive and the closest thai restaurant! Northport lighthouse, fishtown. And sleeping bear dunes (probably in spring). Back to the basics.

Wednesday, June 2. We have finally decided that it is time to settle down and start a family. We are taking small steps so this little puppy is the first addition. :). Her name is Chula and she was a shelter puppy. She's an american bulldog/boxer mix. She has tons of energy and gets lots of sleep. She can already sit, stay, lay down, shake and roll over. Thursday, July 14. For the 4th oliver and i just relaxed. we went to a neighborhood cafe around lunch time. Last year my sunset magazine had this article. About camping in the desert near san diego and getting a tour of the night sky. 4th of july weekend seemed like a great idea (because of the 3 day weekend), but 117 degrees. well, that was pretty extreme. I would definitely do this again, but maybe in the spring or fall. the company was California Overland Tours. So there's this newish community called...

Sunday, September 12. More family room design. Things have progressed in the family room since we last checked in. finally chose a paint color and got new carpet! The base moulding is in the garage being painted right now and we are planning our built-ins. Sunday, February 15. Valentines Getaway to Palm Springs Riviera. Emily had a nice surprise valentines day; I booked a room at the Riviera Hotel in Palm springs. According to the weather, it was the only place in California that wasn't raining on Valentines Day weekend. It was a beautiful modern hotel and Em loved it! Only in california.). MY LIFE AS I KNOW IT. Tuesday, June 12, 2012. The warm and sunny weather always get me excited. I think about my life and try to make goals to help me improve, and usually these goals only last for a short while, but hey, that is still pretty good right? I also find myself wanting to spend more time outside and soak up all the sun I can get. I get excited about the summer concerts that I will attend, and I try to spend some of my Saturdays at the pool. I am hoping for all this, this summer!

Wednesday, February 17. Blowing your mind. one song at a time. I love music. i have no musical talent. that's the way it goes. oliver is the musician in this family, and that's enough i guess. but one thing i am good at - patterns. i have a keen ear for patterns. so, when listening to music i can be pretty spot-on in recognition.
