Deneir's FOW Blog: Father's day gift to myself
http://fow.deneir.com/2008/06/fathers-day-gift-to-myself.html
Diary about my foray into FOW. Saturday, June 14, 2008. Father's day gift to myself. I decided to pay a quick visit to my favorite LGS to quickly browse the fow blisters and see what will pique my fancy. Here is what I purchased for myself;. The typhoon boxed set. I always wanted some air support so my first choice was easy. I still havent even painted my MG platoon but I thought that giving them greater mobilty would help the PBIs. Deneir's FOW Blog: What is that at the end of your brush?
http://fow.deneir.com/2008/04/what-is-that-at-end-of-your-brush.html
Diary about my foray into FOW. Wednesday, April 2, 2008. What is that at the end of your brush? Whycould it be paint? Painted some gun stock on a bunch of PBI. Glued another 5 men to a base. Finished 'texturizing' the base where I did not glue the miniatures first. This brings me to 15 miniatures on a base. Sad But I'm moving forward right? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Deneir's FOW Blog: September 2007
http://fow.deneir.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Diary about my foray into FOW. Wednesday, September 19, 2007. The lightbulb just turned on. Last night was "black touch up" night where the PBI got a boot shine and their knives sheaf got cleaned. It was pretty quick and painless. Remember to always wash and condition your brushes. I though my brush looked pretty clean just by swooshing it in my water cup but I decided to do the proper cleaning anyways. What a difference. you should have seen the gunk that came out of the brush. Skin tone touch ups.

Deneir's FOW Blog: November 2007
http://fow.deneir.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Diary about my foray into FOW. Wednesday, November 28, 2007. It has been over a week that I haven't touched a anything FOW related. I feel bad but hopefully I will be able to do some more later on this week. Don't keep your hopes up. I put on reserver two books on the Devil's Brigade. How I wish that the PDF army list came out last year instead of this year. I'm still going to focus on my Regina Rifle's and Ist Hussars but the FSSF looks so cool that I might have to buy some US commando's. They are not a...

Deneir's FOW Blog: Basing
http://fow.deneir.com/2008/03/basing.html
Diary about my foray into FOW. Sunday, March 30, 2008. Well I actually did something tonight. Nothing earth shattering but I feel good about it. I mixed up a pot of "flat earth" with modeling medium which also contains some texture. Sorta like Vallejo modeling paste that I hear about in the FOW forums. I tried two different methods. Glue the dudes on the base then smear the mix around them. Works well but I find it can be quite difficult getting between miniatures. November 22, 2009 at 12:48 PM. Juno Bea...

Deneir's FOW Blog: October 2007
http://fow.deneir.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Diary about my foray into FOW. Tuesday, October 30, 2007. I'm in a rut. I haven't been feeling inspired lately to pick up a brush. I've done some prep work for the 25 pounders but nothing out of the ordinary. Here are the steps that I'm going to try for the next platoon. My last batch was total mayhem. No order whatsoever. Sort the miniatures based on their pose. Now organize the "men" based on which stand/base they will mounted on. Glue them on some large craft stciks. Paint the webbing and backpack.

Diary about my foray into FOW. Wednesday, May 30, 2007. I decided yesterday to visit Dueling Grounds over my lunch hour. There I bought the following:. 1 blister of British LW mortar platoon. 1 blister of British LW MG platoon. 1 blister of British LW 6 pounder guns. 1 box set of 4 British sherman and 1 VC Firefly. 1 starter GaleForce9 magnetic bases set. The tank box set came with an extra Firefly gun, I wonder if I can use it anywhere? Monday, May 28, 2007. One quick side note, it was such a pain to as...

Deneir's FOW Blog: Mixing vallejo paints
http://fow.deneir.com/2008/03/mixing-vallejo-paints.html
Diary about my foray into FOW. Friday, March 28, 2008. I've noticed that some of my vallejo paints started to separate into two colours. Shaking the pot by hand was a tad tedious so I use an orbital hand sander to do it. I attached the pot to the sander with a bungie cord and turned it on. It worked but I could still see multiple colours. I popped open the pot and added two ball bearings (don't forget to clean them with soap first! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
