All newer milestones are in the BLOG. Climbing stairs - Thursday, December 22, 2005. Too many milestones on one week! Kavin climbed our stairs this morning. Cruising - Friday, December 16, 2005. He walked along the sofa while holding onto it. Stand up by himself - Wednesday, December 14, 2005. Kavin held onto a leather stool and stood up by himself to get to the laptop placed on it. He was pretty stable and stood for quite a while while banging on the laptop. He got onto his knees and crawled great!

Monday, September 17, 2007. First ride on the bike! Today was one fun day for Kav and me. Since Rajesh was out of town, I'd asked his playschool car to pick him up in the morning. Come 9.30 and with the car not in sight, I decided to just take the plunge and put Kav on my 2-wheeler and haul him off to school. But he was just fine, chattering away about the buses and autos and cars and dogs. It was just soooo much fun. Can't wait for tomorrow morning! Saturday, September 08, 2007. Kavin is talking a lot!

Wednesday, February 13, 2008. Kav went pee-pee in the bathroom for the first time today! I had almost given up on potty training, not that I was very military about it. But today, my mom said that after lunch he said he wanted to pee and she rushed him to the bathroom, and he did the deed there. Saturday, February 09, 2008. OK, to start. Thursday, February 26, 2009. Today was a big milestone day for Ovya. She turned from back to tummy. And then seemed to be in a hurry to crawl, sit up, walk, run etc! She has been doing it all day now, and is very non-chalant about it, even as we are so excited. She has been turning from tummy to back for ages since I put her to sleep on her tummy. So we were waiting for this day anxiously. She has been doing great with Cerelac that I started last Monday, and I am thinking of upping it to 2 feeds/day.

Thursday, January 04, 2007. Today, he cried right after I put him into his pickup van. But I sent along his safety blanket and a couple of his books, so that familiar objects might soothe him. I called his princy and asked her to use them if needed. Looks like he settled down after he reached the school and spent the afternoon reading out stories to 3 new kids who joined today! Tuesday, April 24, 2007. Its no joke as to how much I've missed recording here. I think the last I talked about was Kav in play. School. Well, he has even had a playschool convocation program where he was awarded a cute, little cup and a certificate of attendance. Saturday, May 03, 2008. My 5th month checkup. I am at around 18 weeks now. Just across the half way point. I went to the doc's office after a heavy, heavy lunch was got on the weighing scale, with dread. I have put on about 2 kgs (maybe a wee less), making my total 71 kgs . My doc said that was ok, and I was relieved! But then, I was 71 at the time of delivery during Kav's pregnancy, so I know I have my work cut out after this baby is out! Off to dig into some protein and do some packing. I became a mom!

Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Ovya gave me her first smile today when I was playing with her! It was funny since she was squinting at me hard and then broke into a beaming, 'pokka vaayee' smile. I can't wait for Rajesh to see it and get his heart broken as well :). She has been trying to focus onto faces and objects for over a week now. Thursday, October 09, 2008. Parenting is all about unpredictability, I guess! Ovya has started to sleep through the night this week. All by herself, she has regulated to sleep from about 10pm to about 7am, waking up once early morning for a feed. We are just amazed that this has happened so quickly. I think for Kav, this happened after the 3rd month. So that's the good part. To the down side. She is just not sleeping during the day. I mean, a baby is supposed to sleep close to 20 hours, right?
