We finished up our alphabet adventures. And hopped right into learning about. Mrs Wegner showed up to read to us a funny story! Was a great story! We can't wait for Mrs. Wegner to come back. More fun frog adventures and friends were headed our way. As we got ready to play leap frog. Others tried the "step over" method.

Another special guy had his birthday celebration too! We were studying the -an chunk in words like can, ran, and, man. So we decided to make a little man/woman of our own. And bake them on a pan! Of course those little cookies RAN right off of the pan! But the little gingerbread MAN left us a clue. The clues led us all over the school.

Mrs Reed's Kindergarten Blog. Sunday, April 26, 2015. A Jolly Good Week. Our week was JAM packed with fun! We kicked off the week with Jelly Bean Day! We examined jelly beans. Searching for only the perfect jelly beans. And smelled them just to make sure they were good. We did find a few Belly Flops! We also sorted jelly beans by color. And then bagged them up. Measuring with jelly beans was another fun activity. And of course we painted with jelly beans! We made those jelly beans jump! A lot of smiles!

A special scientist came in and taught us about medicine. We discovered this week the best medicine is definitely laughter! We were so excited to see our Prayer Pals one more time. We made them special cards,. Drew them a few pictures,. And read them a few things too. And of course we had a few stories to share with them.

Friday, February 28, 2014. February reading calendars are due next week for a grade, and March calendars were included in Friday folders today. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season. Students will receive the imposition of ashes at chapel on Wednesday, March 5. You are invited to worship at Zion at 3:30 or 7 pm on Wednesdays during Lent. The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Zion from March 8-14. The third quarter will end on Friday, March 14. Any missing work should be turned in by then.
