After a delicious and filling. Breakfast, we sat outside on the porch for awhile. In the afternoon we went to the indoor pool for a swim. Once again, we had it all to ourselves. After a nice breakfast at Troy’s Diner we headed north to Hillsville, VA. Got here around 2pm. Took a swim in the pool. I did anyway, Bob put his feet in only. He said the water was too cold. It was! Lewisburg, WV 9/2. On Home again 9/6. Debbie on Back in PA. On Back in PA. On Back in PA. September 6, 2014. We arrived home safely about 11:30am this morning. Here’s the total mileage for the trip. Now it’s time to play catch-up with everything around the house. Starting with 5 weeks worth of mail. We had a great time but are glad to be back home. Today we got back on the Blue Ridge Parkway and rode on it for about 80 miles. Not too many sights, just a nice country-like drive. We did have one interesting stop. It was the Mabry Mill on the BRP. They depicted the rural Appalachian way of life in the late 1800’s. She was spinning yarn from wool. The homestead, built in 1869. The woodshop inside the mill. Lewisburg, WV 9/2.

I wish it was closer to home! We saw some more windmills. In case you haven’t figured it out by now, I really like windmills! If you zoom in at the base, you will see Bob standing there. My sister, Debbie, informed me that the dates are off on my posts. I don’t know how that happened but I put the proper date in the title bar. Today we headed to Grandfather Mountain in Linnville, NC. Beautiful! The road at the top was extremely challenging! The line of traffic to get in. The road we had to travel up! He eventually made his way over!

After breakfast, we fell back asleep much to our disbelief! I guess we needed it. We spent the afternoon at the pool. After showering, we walked to the Walmart for a few things and then walked to Ruby Tuesday for dinner. We love their salad bar! Now we are sitting here watching it rain while we wait on the laundry.
