This year and for the second time in history, the annual meeting of the Poplar and Willow Council of Canada will take place in the Abitibi-Temiscamingue region of north western Quebec. Field trip - Please make sure that you bring with you safety boots for the field visits, they are mandatory! Field trip to New Liskeard Research site (18 hybrid poplar Ontario/Quebec clones planted in 2007 in 100X100 monoclonal blocks, agricultural setting). Lunch at Agri-food Research station of Notre-Dame-du-Nord (UQAT). PM Visit research sites near research station (2002 and 2005 plantings in forest lands). Dinner at the station. Duhamel-Ouest hybrid poplar trial. NLARS Plantation established in 2007.

The meeting will take place at the. Forêt d’enseignement et de recherche du Lac Duparquet. Located about an hour from Rouyn-Noranda airport ( YUY. The meeting venue is a research forest station (FERLD) that offers on-site accommodation in form of double or triple occupation rooms with bunk beds.
