Life on the Hill. Saturday, August 7, 2010. Raining today after long dry spell. Forest fires in BC and Easter WA have made for misty days and incredible sunsets. We haven't had any animal sightings for a long time. Summer pernnials are finishing up and annuals looking good. Planted petunias only this year and they seem to like it. Had two nice batches of raspberry jam and will pick the last of them tomorrow. Very quiet around here these days and not much to write about. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Life on the Hill. Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Big Winter Storm and Cold. Yesterday and last night we had a huge snow storm. Cars abandoned all along the freeways and city streets. We have about seven inches of beautiful powder snow. Thermometer says 16 degrees right now. During the night, it cleared and the full moon reflection on the snow made itl ike daylite. Life on the Hill. Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Blue Sky, Finally. Hard frost yesterday morning and 35 degrees when I got up. But, the sky is blue, blue, blue! Supposed to be nice again for next couple of days, but still chilly and we still haven't gotten to 70 degrees. I am pressure washing a little bit at a time to prevent overworking the well. Life on the Hill. Wednesday, April 27, 2011. April 27, 2011 40d, hail, rain. The weather continues to slow spring's arrival. Day after day of cold and damp. Still fresh snow at higher elevations. I wonder how late it will be until we can get into the backcountry this summer. Deer frequently grazing yard, frogs singing at night now and heard coyotes the other night.
